As somebody who beat the arcade (level 4) I can tell you there are different strategies for different characters. You basically need 2 strategies for each when the computer is being aggressive or defensive. Amakusa is easy though at least with Hanzo or Galford. Wait till he starts walking towards you, walk towards him and throw him once in range. Back off and repeat till you win.

Hanzo is more powerful than Galford. Galford is quicker than Hanzo.
