Literally the worst audio, you can hear gun shots from miles away, yet you cant hear the footsteps when they are right next to you.

It HAD to be because of how “realistic” the guns and other sounds are, compared to IRL. If it ain’t that.. there is some dick sucking going on at the top of game devs and awards. You get better audio from ps2 games WITHOUT surround sound.. Same could be said about ps3 games.

In case no one has noticed... Matchmaking in this game has changed dramatically over the last two weeks. All of the RUclips streamers are now having a much more difficult time because they're being paired up against people that are as good or better. This is happening across the board with everyone. Look at how many good/decent gamers are struggling with COD MW Warzone right now...

Doc not sure if this would help you but I have to reset my system everyday to have the audio work the way it should, if I don’t reset I hear everything except footsteps.

I think it's bc he constantly tactical sprints and that's much louder than normal Sprint. Walking is almost silent. Crouching is silent
Mc Nick walking really isn’t that silent unless you do it slow and crouch walking you can hear on steps
They dont even need to make dynamic sound just some kind of directional sound. Id be happy with clearly hearing through walls if it meant also being able to hear people that are actually next to me

Ricky T Nope I’m pushing 1TB upload and download on east coast servers. It’s trash audio. Even had someone running up metal steps and checked my kill cam to make sure it was a dead silence and it wasn’t. The game is a hot bag of boiling diarrhea.

weasel101 the problem is not their packets. It’s the packets from the actual dedicated servers when it pings back to me.

This game has plenty broken bullshits because it's a free game.
It's funny all the crazy shots Doc has pulled off and loses his mind when people do the same to him. Doc has tactical sprint turned on making him sprint constantly therfore making his footsteps sound massively loud.
You cant really appreciate how good the doc is at warzone now unless you watch these vids.

Legend has it the Doc eyebrows muscles are so fast and strong that he can frown and shoot the googlescopes off his and one shot someone.
My theory is the developers purposely make footsteps impossible to hear so its easier to execute finishers

I killed Lyndon in a Warzone solo match earlier today and when I realized who I killed I visited his VOD. He was so frustrated he accused me of hacking and tried to report/block me but couldn't because I stay offline since I hate having Blizzard and all that open while I play. Hilarious guy. He needs to chill though. LOL ^^

i've had 3 people come right upto our squad point blank in an open area without hearing a single foot step but we were focusing on a firefight over 150m away
Go to the settings and select boost high audio mix. Done you can now hear footsteps.
What annoys me most about foot steps is that when I watch my killcam, the foot steps are so loud and clear yet in real time I couldn't hear them at all.
this happens to me heaps in the gulag. and i found out the people that move around like dead silent are a lower level than me, i just cant hear them barely. and the people with higher level than me are loud as fxxk.... why is this tho
I clearly hear everyone regardless but I'm using the eq on my mix amp tr with the audio boost high and I can hear all details and reloading, grenade klinks when they pull the pin, sliding, jumping,boots slamming down, footsteps, silencers, all of that I hear it all
Almost uninstalled the game earlier. Getting shot from 2 feet away without hearing anything...I went back to Blackout.
Already uninstalled. This game is NO WAY NEAR worth having on my PS4 taking up over 100gb :') delete it you wont miss it

Exactly how i feel, go into the game wait for the lobby, jump out of plane, loot and save 10000 for a load out, spend most of the time running around. Then you die over something stupid and repeat. It feels like I’m spending an hour doing this stuff for like 5 seconds of action
Because this game is shit. Simple. 150 players and the map size is too big. Rooftop camping is awful, people using vehicles as tanks jjst squishing everyone.._ theyre just a few things that made me delete this game. & its not even enjoyable when you do win, because playing for 60 odd hours for the sake of a few W's is fucking pointless :') atm i believe 50odd million people are playing this game, give it a month till june that number will be halved coz' people will finally realize this game is fucked :')

The audio on this games really fires me up, me and my pal dylan always duo everything and we both use astros, my friend has the a50s and I have the a40s but we barely hear foot steps anymore, it's so bad and it needs fixing before anything else
at 7:30 he's raging so hard but in reality he just got sandwiched by 2 teams, he got 2 kills, nothing you can do if you get third partied.
i have 1 win in 280 games.. top 25 10 times. stopped playing as i get sandwiched whenever i fight another team . just so done

Alot of people got issue with the audio. I havent experienced any yet. I hear footsteps when the enemy is close enough. Unless they have deadsilence or crouching. I use logitech gpro headset.
In the last gulag fight Doc jumped behind cover while the other guy was moving slowly on crouch. Of course he was gonna hear him
When the game came out the audio was terrible.. More recently I have had moments when I hear enemy footsteps no problem.. and then some moments when I don’t hear footsteps. It did get better but still very inconsistent which is a same and should really be an easy fix.

Loool, I feel him. but yeah i neeeeever had this problem in blackouts. In warzone people can walk and crounch walk pretty fast without making sound witch is to stupid. In blackout i had to move like a snail to not be heard.
I have my Sennheiser HD 660 S plugged into an amplifier with Boost EQ setting in COD and my volume high asf and I still can't hear guys right next to me. And even when I do, I'll hear him to my right and he'll be to my left. The sound in this game is horrendously embarrassing.

When this 1st came out i could hear footsteps actually pretty good but planes and stuff were super over powering all other sounds but now its just a mess i hear people running around sometimes and other times absolutely no sound....but i still never flip out about it...i guess im not so serious about a video game

Doc should have given Firestorm more of a run. I'm not a huge BR fan, but it's still my second favourite after PUBG.

I have the home theater and the audio is a bit better but there still problems with it
i dont know if this is what your issue is or not. Tested this a few times and it seemed to help. If you stop moving, or at least sprinting you hear much better.
The developers of Apex Legends should help them with the footsteps. They absolutely nailed the audio in that game. You always know exactly where someone is.
True. Even crouching ,the sounds of their grenades and weapons can be heard enough so it can make it a fair fight. Unless the person is completely still they will hear the person

It's "kinda" satisfying to him have the same reaction most of us have on having no perception and awareness of audio when walking!
The sound design in this game is made mostly by "compression"! It is made so you stay still to hear your whereabouts, otherwise you will get easily distracted by moderate/loud ambient surroundings, gunshots or explosions!
Even black ops 4 had better sound then this and i'm not praising it...
Black ops 4 can be an really really old sound engine, but its mastered at a god level, you can hear exactly where are the steps coming from, how far are they, people changing guns, reloading, how far the shots are from, positioning, and a big etc. I just loved blackout, and im in love with warzone too but my investment into a expensive turtle beachs was worthless
