Eastern State Penitentiary Tour in Philadelphia

- Located in the heart of Philadelphia, Eastern State Penitentiary is the oldest and most expensive prison ever created. After sitting in ruins for decades, the urban jungle was cleared and the prison is now open as a tourist attraction.
What makes it so special? It's incredibly photogenic and they offer nighttime tours (think haunted!). But the real story is about the isolation that the prison created in order to make a man (or woman) penitent.
Here's a quick tour of everything you need to know about Eastern State Penitentiary.

Good video
A terrific video. Eastern State is definitely on my bucket list.
My grand father was a guard here back in the day
That’s so cool! I hope you’ve heard a few stories!
Dope!!! Any good stories?
@@dididhbdde6571 yes!
outstanding content Fadra Nally. I broke that thumbs up on your video. Keep on up the superb work.
I grew up in Philly and passed Eastern State everday on my way to high school. Back then it was just a big question mark. I had a neighbor that worked as a CO there. In 1990 I became an officer for the AZDOC and will be retiring soon from MNDOC. I've been back to Philly and Eastern State many times. It's a rich history. Thanks for the video.
I've lived for a few years on Pennsylvania Ave, a short walk from the penitentiary and drive by it on my way to work every day. Never had an interest to go on a tour of a prison. Well, now I know what's inside. Thanks for this.
You’re welcome! Although I don’t know how you could live so close and not see what’s inside those walls!
Hi Fadra, it looks scary inside
A little run down but not too scary. I would imagine the night tours and terror programs would be a different story!
How long do you think the tour could be? I live about 3 hours and in willing to drive.
When I went, it was a self-guided tour that could comfortably done in 2 hours but I’d allow more time if you have it!
No time limit once ur in u can walk around on the audio tour or on ur own path and just read things on walls and signs!
I would love to tour it but got no one to go with t u
Ur never alone inside there always an energy walking with u
If. I go alone I be really scared I don't think I can handle being alone but thanks for comment
