Thank you. Great job creating and working off of your notes. I should have been taking notes as that went pretty far past my search question and I don't want notes when he brings my wood.
I've always suspected that I get what I get and I pay what he says I pay as me(sic) and the guy from the (other) country do not speak the same language as to what he says he has in that truck and what I end up burning long after he's gone back home. Maybe somebody can design a $4,000 (college course or) rack we could purchase at Buckee's on our travels to standardize the 'loose thrown' heap I'll have to sort up into it while he waits for my check. Thanks again.

Thanks for doing this video. The big question I always get is: How loose is the "stacked" wood (gaps)? Curious of your thoughts! Check us out if you're into firewoodin'. Cheers!

Stacked so a mouse can scoot thru but a squirrel could not. Old Appalachian standard.

So a face cord should be 32 cubic feet?

It should be about 42 cubic feet. 1/3 of a cord (1/3*128)

@@outdoorswithat6053 8x4 is 32. Just wondering how you get 42?

It is 1/3 of a full cord. Your calculation is partially correct, but you need to account for the length of the pieces. Assuming you cut your firewood to 16 inches, it would be 8*4*1.33 or (96*48*16)/12
