i never really got the mechanism of building a solid deathcore riff. i mean, is there such thing as a SOLID deathcore riff to begin with? i always had the impression, that they are usually so.. i don't know, asymmetrical, chaotic and they seem to never sound right all alone as opposed to other genres. and it's funny, because I genuinely enjoy jazz music, where there are so many dissonant sounding chords and music structures. i don't know, i just need to grow the fuck up, i suppose, haha!
