Hot food is safe'ish, but it's the unwashed hands that is the issue. I wouldnt have eaten those raw onions he touched, but hot egg and bread onto foil, probably fine.

For egg sandwiches traditionally the Indian spices would go into butter and then a medley of chopped onions tomatoes cilantro and green chili would be added. Finally eggs were added and scrambled and then this was all thrown on white bread crust removed sliced in half or quarters.
I love Indian food! Looks fye!! Out of all of the restaurants on Devon Street here in Chicago, you think they would have an Indian Street food fest in the summertime. Is something like this here where we can get these type of street foods.

They may be poor and food preparation may not be up to international standards some of these commentators below are used to but their whole livelihood depends upon customers especially repeat customers and regulars so they cannot serve contaminated food to people. If a person falls sick from eating their food they will not only lose that customer but word of mouth may harm their business, which they cannot afford. Five star hotels in general don't have regulars in more quantity and they deal with mostly tourists so even if they look clean and neat from the outside they may lack the cleanliness of these street vendors
