1974 Chevrolet Suburban

Film from 1974 Chevrolet promotional marketing department. Played on a Technicolor GM movie projector that uses 8mm film cartridges. They were played in dealerships during the 1970's to show prospective buyers different models. Fun to see these old films as digital technology has come a long way.

Back in the day before Suburbans became soccer mom mobiles.

Problem with them was poor rust resistance....My Dad factory ordered a '73 C10 Cheyenne Super Suburban and it started to rust at less than 3 years old and the rocker panels were completely gone at 5 years old.
The only survivors seem to be from dry climates out West.
