How did these hold up a year later? Did it break during setup, teardown, or storage? I have the Eskimo Quickfish 6i, so I would need two of them. Does the light reach the corners with people sitting at the holes?
Hey there, I still have one one each of my shacks and they both work like a charm :) I just tuck the wires in the side pocket and everything folds up as normal. They light up every inch of the inside of the tent. I’ll literally put one of these in every hub I ever buy. I do a decent amount of night fishing. Thanks for checking it out and have a good one!
I’ve had one in my hub for 3 years and haven’t had any issues. It hits the ice during tear down when I drop the roof in and haven’t broken it yet. Mind you, I still try to be easy/careful with it but you know how it goes
How do you recommend powering one possibly two of them? Novice here and I'm doing research for my teenage son who apparently has a huge love ice fishing. I've seen a couple videos where they have a separate 12-volt battery (not sure how to charge that) to placing a pigtail on the vexler battery and using that. Thoughts? Recommendations?
Hi there - it’s just alligator clips that hooks onto any 12 volt vexilar style battery. Sometimes, I bring a separate one for the lights and just drop it in the side pocket and hook it up there. I’ve never done any sort of wiring other than just clamping them on :)
Game changer is correct! I spent more money in batteries and lights last year than the thing costs. It's definitely worth it i
For sure - one of these things is going in every hub I ever buy!
That light is most definitely a necessity!
Great information for ice fishing!
Heya Scott - Happy New Year :)

It looked like the wires are exposed where they enter the plastic. Does that effect its waterproof qualities?
