Oh my... Charles Dickens??? You will be in trouble! Haha My mother has always loved Ben Hur and is anxious to see the new adaptation.. Always so much fun to watch your videos! The problem is that you mention even MORE books that I know I want to read! I am now at the point that I want to read constantly because I'm going to die before I get to read all of the really great books in the world! Aaaaaaaggggghhhhh......

Loved "The Professor", but preferred "Villette" - for me there was a much better focus / angle upon a certain Professor 💜in Villette

I would like to start AND finish The Infinite Jest (by Wallace), but it will take me some time because I read English a bit slower than my mother thongue and with such a big book it adds up to a lot of extra time (the book is not available in my language). So that is one intimidating book on my tbr.

Did you touch upon Plays at all ?

There's been lots of books over the years that I haven't finished, mostly because I found them boring or terribly written. My classic favourites are Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, the Bronte sisters and quite a few others I read when I was in school all those years ago now

      Kindred spirits. Great taste, yes,
wonderful authors, beautifully written. I read Jane Eyre when I was young, and yet, I re-read this wonderful book as if I long to re-
      visit old friends.
I was surprised with his reference toward mr. Dickens; mr. Dickens was a literary genius I believe,
      no doubt.

I've don't think I've ever seen a Penguin classic edition but hear them mentioned often. Out of curiosity, what makes them so special?

    • @davidthom7127

I literary can't believe it's possible not to have seen a Penguin Classic. It must be the largest range of classic books in the world, ever.
