Even though I really didn't like the Spider-verse comic event as a whole mostly because of the treatment of my girl Mayday parker Spider-girl and her family I will admit without this event we wouldn't have gotten the amazing Spider-verse movies we have today.

I hate that they took one of peter parkers coolest/ best stories and gave it to miles because all his stories suck.
This event is everything wrong with Marvel's approach to events. An actually interesting story the writer is desperately trying to tell while being forced by the higher-ups to shove in constant references and cliffhangers that try to make you buy some random tie-in issues. If I buy a comic book, I expect to be able to enjoy a full story uninterrupted by glorified advertisements for comic books I won't be able to buy anyway because oh how much work finding them all these years later would be. And no, I'm not reading them online either because it's just not the same thing. The result? A genuinely cool story dragged down by the constant fucking advertisements that Marvel forces in to make you buy more comic books. The middle of the book is literally an issue and a half of nothing but references to tie-ins.
