Hello. Upload the video to the site. You can use the Media Manager for this (this is not suitable for all files). And then use the AllVideos plugin www.joomlaworks.net/extensions/free/allvideos to insert the video to your page.

Thanks for sharing. why is it that only user name root is accepted? I tried entering other names like my name, etc. but could not go through the installation

These are MySQL settings. Don't worry. When you transfer the site to your hosting, login and password will be different.
