I remember a while back, I was watching this video while my buddies were playing NV. The guy playing was doing a critical hit build, so I told him to get that one pistol in the safe in Primm. When we saw that it was a hard lock, we spent, like, 5 hours playing through the game to get better shit, advance the story, and get lockpicking high enough to unlock that safe. We were up all night for good fun, we were up all night to get Lucky.
DragonInferno99 Ω it's never obsolete. And you can totally get it early. With cowboy and hand loaded rounds it packs a punch, and with a high critical rate it can take down damn near anything.
I recently bought fallout 3 and new vegas again and wanted to look at the guides, so i went looking for these old videos...man a smile formed on my face so quickly 😊 it was high school all over again!
+Jake Stanley (Bluemoon) i may or may not of killed the lonesome drifter because i may or may not of shot him with a BB gun and then he attacked me and i may or may not have blown his head off and took his stuff..
dakoda williams Especially since most of the uniques aren't even unique, they're just renamed weapons with legendary effects that you just probably could get from a legendary enemy.
I watched these guides a bunch as a lil kid. Thanks man. My knowledge of new vegas is deeper than my ability to driver though I operate equipment somewhat better
I've seen all your weapon videos and I have to say these are so damn well put together, I wish you did this for every video game I play! Seriously dude, thanks a ton.
Great series of guides, very helpful, clear, and interesting to watch too. Love the presentation and insane effort behind these. I just picked up the gorgeous Ranger Sequoia.
"Ma always said he was a real MYSTERIOUS feller, even when he was with her. She said he seemed like a bit of a STRANGER sometimes." They pretty much spell it out for you lol
This series was recommended to me a long time ago, and I loved watching it since I was a gun nut, and was curious about the fallout series since I loved Skyrim. This series inspired me to buy the game, and it’s one of my all time favorites. So thanks for introducing me to new Vegas.
While in no way unique or hard to obtain, I really love the 9mm pistol. Despite even the low dmg and dps output, I don't know why but I just love that gun. I love the way it looks, feels and fires. Hoping for a similar gun or a desert eagle design of the magnum in Fallout 4
+HammerMC its esy Legion got ton of it at least hit squad that comes for me time to time allways at least 1 guy got 12.7mm and ammo but if you are with legion somewhere in there camps you can find it plenty and also Gun runners got that shit covered easy and for Ranger too
The fallout music at the end of the game and at the end of the DLC's is so good and satisfying. It does the best jobs of wrapping up the things you have done throughout the wastes, call me strange if you want but it actually makes me want to cry.
ah the good ol' days. i rememeber these fallout guides he did being how i first got into you, strife. I popped in fallout NV and was planning on getting vance's machine gun and lucky and made me remember this and want to watch these again.
This is just one of the best video series. Its visual effects are nice, the voice over is awesome, the music is from Fallout or sounds like it should be from Fallout. There's just, nothing bad about this series. 10/10 would gladly watch again.
***** Easier said then done. I'm a level 50, with Advanced Riot Armor. Equipped with a Riot Shotgun and I can't simply mow them down. I, however, have max-ed out most of the needed things, (Speech, Science, Gun). Those fuckers will go down, but with a fight.
Devan Wasburg Sorry for the delay of my reply. What you said is true, it is only recommended that you attempt this at high levels. Although doing it is well worth the reward as you can score a more than one gun for your collection. As for fighting them I suggest getting back up as well as some sort of long range rifle (anti mat) coupled with Dinner bell or the riot shotgun.
Normally, it really annoys me when a tutorial video opens with really flashy and drawn out intros, but for this, I will make an exception. Overall, great tutorial, well used graphical aids, and very precise and efficient use of words.
Very well done, excellent intro and conclusion. Love the ending music they play during the slideshow when you beat the game, and you used the same music at the end. This deserves a lot more views!
Dude, I remember first watching your videos when I started playing fallout new vegas, all of the videos helped me immensly, I am so glad that you are now part of the yogscast! congratulations!
wonderfully done. the editing, angles and voice over were masterfully done. it was like watching a tv documentary about FalloutNV weapons! can't wait to see more!
You do without question make the best game guides on youtube, all of them are so well done with voice over, editing etc. Well done and keep the ggod work up!
8:23 Was sent there durring the "Bleed me dry" quest. I did not expect (or rather, I had forgotten about) the boss of the cave. I was Very glad that I planted Plasma Mines to the ledge. Ratslayer could only do so much, along with the Assult Carbine when the remaining ones got past the minefield.
downside to ranger sequoia, rare ammo, and unlike Lucky or Mysterious, it's not a holdout weapon (major reason to have one handed guns in the 1st place)
If you are going with Mr. House, Yes man or the NCR you can buy some off of the supply merchant in hoover dam who has up on 600 of that ammo at a time also holdout weapons are almost useless, in Gomorah you are given weapons, in the tops Benny has no armour so no need for guns so unless you go around killing the three families that is unimportant, one more thing lucky is awesome in a crit build early mysterious is just good and ranger sequoia has great damage, fire rate and I'm pretty sure it gets bonus crit chance.
It's one of two unique 5.56 mm weapons that has higher chance to score a critical. It's a pistol by the way. But I'd rather use a unique .45 pistol Josh Gram's A Light Shining In The Darkness.
If anything it's only a trophy weapon, I wouldn't say it's entirely practical.. It's ever so slightly stronger than the basic 9mm so yeah.. Only a trophy weapon in my eyes
Holy shit dude! I can't believe you got into the Yogscast. I remember watching your videos about Fallout like 3 years ago when you had a smallish channel. Congrats dude, never expected this.
I use this arsenal and I am getting through the game with no problems at all. Ranger Sequoia Anti-Material Rifle Marksman Carbine (soon to be replaced by the All-American) Riot Shotgun
I know your comment is from a couple weeks ago but yeah I did a pretty similar settup then switched to Anti-material rifle, Brush gun or GRA medicine stick now, 12.7mm smg, and the Dinner bell
***** I tried switching the All-American out for This Machine, and that works really well at close and mid range with a really fast reload, and I'm trying out the Dinner Bell too. So far, so good. I ditched the Medicine Stick in favor of This Machine.
Yeah all american is a bit weedy against later game enemies. This Machine and the medicine stick wreck anything armoured, also because I like being a doom turtle I use Remanant or T51B armour with the Dinner Bell which being the best damaging shotgun and with the best armour is pretty much unstopable
I'm a fan of the Elite Riot Gear from Lonesome Road for my armor, or the Stealth Suit mk2. The Anti-Mat Rifle is my greatest advantage, usually kills anything I look at in one shot, provided I'm in stealth. I'm thinking I'll put the All-American back in though, it's a really good mid range rifle when I need a higher fire rate than the sniper. I have a shotgun at all times for close quarters, and Dinner Bell is proving very effective. The Ranger Sequoia is for when I need to run and shoot without losing speed and damage. I might add a heavy weapon at some point to mix things up a bit, but this loadout has gotten me through everything up to Hoover Dam.
You wouldn't think it but the CZ75- Avenger minigun is VERY good if you need to kill something quickly also if your doing a sneak build use the Gobi Scout Sniper it has the best crit chance and damage in the game, I love that riot gear to it's very good if you want a sort of light armour that has great DT and if you didn't know there's another Riot Gear to, think its called Veteran Riot Gear
I believe I first found William Strife through these videos, which made me interested in the games. So I must say, William, thank you for introducing me to a great series.
Daddy Skee not really. It reloads fast, has both HP/AP rounds, cheaper to fix, and the highest crit multiplayer in its class along with lucky. Excellent all around gun
ALRIGHT PPL TO ALL WHO WISH TO FINALLY KNOW THE NAME OF THIS INTRO I SHALL LET U KNOW AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF ATTEMPYING TO FIND IT. INTRO SOUNDTRACK-> large and full in american landscapes by sonic liberty. This is the actual song and trust that i am not bsing none of u.
there is no reason what so ever for this video to have any dislikes theres really nothing wrong with it. Its a brilliantly presentated video good job link
The 12.7 mm SMG can actually be purchased quite often in Gun Runner's Arsenal, and the GRA variant can even be modified to address the accuracy concerns. Though that's not vanilla, so it probably doesn't bear bringing up here.
I'm excited for Lonestar, but then again they are moving to fallout 4. Lonestar is an entire fallout game that takes place in Texas. There is also Project Brazil but since the release of fallout 4 nobody has heard of them. Finally Fallout the Frontier is a fallout new vegas mod that takes place some where north of the mojave which ironically has a lot of snow but involves the ncr and legion "Patrolling the mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter"
Yeah i heard and saw that but i was talking about you SAYING it. But, nontheless. I enjoyed all of your episodes that I've just discovered last night. Very well done. And you, my sir, just earned a subscriber.

Roachbait By the way, nicely done videos man, really! :)
People need to think of how much time goes into these, I mean the editing is very good, and they're very informative. They should be happy with the videos as they are, instead of complaining about how one minor detail was left out.
Because, had you paid attention to the video, you'd notice the gun is held in one hand while walking/running. All one-handed guns go two-handed, I think, when you aim, but proper two-handed guns are always carried with two hands.
“We got a Chupacabra with an automatic weapon” my favourite line in the whole game

Wait, isn't the 12.7mm SMG two handed? I feel like I've been bullshitted my entire life now.
Same
it is, but it's still an SMG, so I think Will put it in this video because it otherwise fits in with all the 1 handed SMGs
If the 12.7mm SMG is considered 1-handed, then why isn't the Big Boomer considered 1-handed?
Cenky Wenky I didn't think it was considered 2-handed either?
Cenky Wenky because it's a shotgun. And it's in the shotgun video
i come back to this channel every now and then
that intro is just so catchy
Mysterious Magnum just for the sound when equiped
