I still am finding it hard to understand how they placed second in this… they got robbed for sure. Not one person was off in this entire dance. Goosebumps!! ❤
LSU was good, but honestly I am confused how not one person has noticed/commented on the obvious fact that every single dancer was in ‘black face,’?! It was really uncomfortable to watch, personally.
I love how they seamlessly moved people around to spotlight everyone! Either in 3 second solo center stage or in groups of 2 or 3 moving complimentary. Everyone was important as a whole team! In the eyes of your audience- you WON, minnesota! You made us love dance!
TBH, I'm not a dancer AT ALL, and I noticed that. I noticed that not 1 person wasn't just as important as the next. It speaks VOLUMES about the amount of talent on that team! Everyone has to be extraordinary. Mediocrity does not produce these results.
I seriously cannot stop watching this! I don't know half of what is going on, but there is true beauty, heart, grace, sheer bad assery! Congratulations on an EPIC PERFORMANCE!
It's insane they didn't get 1st! The difficulty level of this routine and its flawless! I could watch this dance all day long but I could not say the same about ....
This was the coolest ever!! I’ve never watched this but saw a small part on FB and had to watch the rest.. now I’ve watched all of them. This was by far the best!!
Brilliant technique, precision, choreography; the whole package. What gave Ohio the win, in addition to their brilliant technique, precision and choreography, was the emotional level of the dancers, the story and the music.
@1:28 where they come back together as a whole SPINNING IN SYNC... this move should have won them the championship alone. Not a single one of them was out of sync!
Oh my gosh, this performance was perfect! Your incredible choreography, unison, power, expression, and pure talent gave me the goosies! I'm sending you a standing ovation from Millersville, Maryland! ❤😊❤
The difference between this performance and Ohios performance is simply the energy and well, performance quality. UOFMs performance was stunning but in my opinion Ohio outperformed them, they had so much emotion. Another thing is that the dance world has always been tricks tricks tricks, but the movement quality is also so so important. Which Ohio had phenomenal movement quality this year and UOFM was very tricky. But, both teams were outstanding just that’s why i think they gave it to Ohio this year.
As an Neutral observer of both schools but a huge dance and music fan, I would hate to be a judge for this event. Both Lady Tigers and the Gopherettes were just amazing but overall presentation, I do have to lean towards LSU. U of M was extremely entertaining but the music and outfits chosen by LSU were just a little bit more lively. Like I said, this was hard to judge and I'm glad that I didn't have to decide for real. Congrats to both schools!!👏👏
Ohio won because their overall technique, choreography and storytelling were better. They weren't just spinning robots. Everyone always thinks the big jumps and tricks are going to get you there, but any seasoned dancer/coach/choreographer will tell you there is so much more too it.
i feel like minnesota focused to much on how many spins they could jam into the routine, their wasnt much dancing or choreography outside of the wonky arm movements they did in every 8 count. I mean technical wise it was amazing, but i feel like that is the risk you take some years, sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesnt.
Finally a dance team with the talent to dance to REAL music. And not the silly old rap, hip-hop crap that has only a beat. Other dance teams should take notice. Real music instead of some rapper yammering about his miserable, crime ridden life.

One girl stepped off the mat after turns.
Exactly
@@katecampbell3074 stage right at like 1:36?

You and the rest of the world! Everyone is talking about this amazing performance!
As a former dancer, this is a first place dance! Not to take away from Ohio who were very good, but this was unbelievable.
YES YES!! 100%
I also thought that OSU had cleaner choreography in Pom over Minnesota, and that Minnesota deserved 1st in Jazz, OSU 1st in Pom
The difficulty in this routine is off the charts! They make it look so easy 🔥
I can watch this over and over and gives me goosebumps every time! Coery is AMAZING

Love that Aerosmith posted them on there Instagram account. It kinda makes up a little for the loss of first place.
Still can’t believe they didn’t win, that performance was nothing short of magnificent! A true team working together for perfection. Achieved! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I seriously cannot stop watching this! I don't know half of what is going on, but there is true beauty, heart, grace, sheer bad assery! Congratulations on an EPIC PERFORMANCE!
This dance is incredible. Ohio was amazing but this was off the charts.
I... Cant... Stop... Rewatching... It 🌈❤️🔥💝💓💖
FREAKISHLY (!) talented people here. You Betcha!!
WOWZA!! I can't watch this without tearing up - every time! Brilliant performance to one of the best songs ever! 🤩😍
Incredible talent!!! So much went into them nailing this!!
Just so amazing! Gives me chills to watch! I agree so difficult!
How did they get beat? I don't see it
should’ve been first. absolutely amazing.
Steven Tyler should do a live rendition at their school now!

Well you put a smile on my face. Well done everyone. That was beautifully timed❤❤❤❤

This made me emotional.
i love listening to the person recording this scream with aerosmith at 1:41 LOL
Finally something to be (very) proud of from Minnesota
Absolutely magnificent!!!

Unbelievable! So in sync. Not a flaw!!
Wow!!!!!!! 😮❤
They SHOULD 100% placed First!!! Beautiful dance, perfectly executed! ❤❤❤❤
It looked like one dancer is on stage but they are amazing
I came here after seeing a clip on tik tok. I am SO glad I did cause this blew my mind!
Dude the fact that I’ve probs walked past them and maybe even met them with the amount of gopher games I’ve been to
This performance made me cry it was so good. How tf did they get 2nd?!!!
Fabulous routine, but the synchronized pirouettes blew me away.
Yayyy!🎊❤
Minnesota should've won. They were pure perfection. I said what I said.
The young man is Amazing! Kind of wish the other dancers didn't use constant aggression in their effects. But this was very well done.
How did they get second
Timing.
I still don't get how OSU won, I watched both performances, and there was at least twice I could audibly hear OSU counting 5-6-7-8.
They should have gotten 1st!!!
Did they win???
they got second, ohio state beat them

Amazing performance! But why is this considered dance and not gymnastics?
Nothing compares. Not .one.thing. They got robbed
I’m 11 and I’m deciding that I’m going to the University of Minnesota! I’m also a dancer😇
idk…i really thought minnesota was gonna get 1st w/ this though the 2 bobbles. though “dream on” isn’t the most interesting piece of music

THEY WERE ROBBED😱😱😱
Y’all they were robbed… Ohio was good but this performance… as a former dancer is simply beyond!!!!
They were robbed. Ohio was good but they had nothing on Minnesota's choreography andsynchronization!
If this was second who in the hell got first?!
ohio state got first place in the jazz division.
i’m sobbing they were so robbed
is this ai?
Nope

sorry what😭 different styles of dance exist for a reason and a closed minded perspective on music doesn’t objectively make it bad
OK Boomer
Your Calvinist Puritanical illusory truth effect is showing.
Ohio State was better.
