My dad had 3 different TR4-As while we were in the AirForce in France, England and New Mexico. Riding and eventually getting to drive and work the 67 model were so much fun, the memories of that car are priceless. That TR6 I'm sure is every bit as much fun.

@@michaelsmotorcars8916 My dad was a dealer and one of these came in and i got the job, as always, ther saturday job of cleaning it up ready for sale. It came home and was parked on the drive. My mom and Dad went out in the evening so I thought, mmm I take it for a spin. Near to where I lived was a narrow humped back bridge, as I came up to it, going pretty quick, I overtook 3 cars, cut in, went over the bridge, became airborne, landed and overtook 2 more cars and vanished into the distance. What I did not know at the time was that the lead car of the three I over took coming up to the bridge was my Mom and Dad, they had had to go to the lot to change the car they was using, so I did not recognise it but he recognised me. My Mom said, " Isn´t that Gordon in the car?" and my Dad was forced to say "No, same model car though, just to stop my Mom from worrying. That evening they got home and nothing was said and I was totaly unsuspecting. However the next day when my dad got me alone I got a right roasting, I stood there with my head down and when he had finished I looked up with a cheeky smile and said, "Good overtake though wasn´t it?" My dad was a racer too! We kept that one for quite a while.

I remember sitting in a new tr7 at the dealers and asking about the windshield that was covering my view of the road. “That’s the way it’s supposed to be…” was all I needed to know about The Wedge: the Shape of Things to Come.

Your story brings back some vivid memories! It's amazing how those moments at the dealership stay with us. The TR7, with its distinctive wedge shape, certainly made a statement. Did you eventually get used to the unique windshield design, or did it continue to be a point of discussion? Share more of your experiences with the TR7!

The oil pressure is way too low.
