I really do hope that, _"HEY GUYS!"_ keeps being more widely utilized, because it's such a good way for the JP girls to easily engage with their English-speaking audience.
The JP girls knows not the power they wield, literally all they have to do is say that or say something in whatever basic English they know and we'll love it.

"Hey Guys" is actually a powerful summoning spell, able to instantly make hoards of kaigainiki appear like the Avengers coming out of portals in Endgame. The spell also works in reverse for EN girls. Saying something in Japanese will summons hoards of JP-niki. The truth of it all is... we've all been hopelessly conditioned like Pavlov's dogs by virtual anime girls.

Color variant makes way more sense than shiny, always wondered why it was called that when most weren’t really shiny per say
Because it was an informal term that became the official term.
There was no official term for it early on, and most kids called them something like "shiny" Pokemon because of the sparkles they give off when they enter battle.
In Japan, in the internal debug menu for GSC, they were just called "rare"(レア) Pokemon, and then later games internal data used "alternate color/color variation"(いろちがい, iro chigai), including the chat system in Generation 3. Interestingly, "shining" is also sometimes used(光る, hikaru), including in the Japanese name of the Shiny Charm("shining charm"). Also, since X and Y, in Japan, (ひかる, hikaru) has been used in the description for the Shining Charm. So they're kind of called "shine Pokemon" when they're not called "alternate color", and "alternate color" seems to be the most common term.
In the west, GSC's debug menu called them "rare" Pokemon, Pokemon Stadium 2 called them "Color Pokemon", and the easy chat system in Generation 3 called them "Alt. Color", a direct translation of "iro chigai". "Shining Pokemon" was used by the TCG, and the first official use of the term "Shiny" in-game was either in Pokemon Platinum or Pokemon Black and White, depending on how you look at it. ("Shiny Milotic" was used for a Wonder Card distribution for Pokemon Platinum, but that text/title came from the wonder card data, not the game data. Black and White was the first game that had something directly in-game refer to them as Shiny Pokemon, having a trainer use that exact term.)

I've always been impressed with her level of vocabulary.
We have a smart doog. No, for real, what she can't translate verbatim she always uses logic to convey. It's easier to understand her messages than, for example, Suisei, who has outstanding pronounciation but has no idea what she's saying.
