I really appreciate that u encourage your viewers to take small steps towards a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle. I'm vegan (1yr on Christmas) and I took little steps in preparation for the lifestyle I live now. And I love it. Even if it's just one vegetarian or vegan meal a day, it's a huge thing.

From a fellow caffeine addict to another, I cut back and stopped drinking as many energy drinks just as you are... I started taking apple cider vinegar pills every morning with breakfast and that had really helped me maintain an energy level throughout the day.
I work with children on the autism spectrum everyday so being able to keep up my energy is vital! ♥️

For the plastic, there's farmers markets, bulk food stores and so many types of reusable bags for produce, bread... everything! But start with 1 thing. Then go from there. It also tends to help support the little guys too instead of mass corporations. Also soft plastics can be recycled, you just have to look in your area to find out how, because let's face it, trying to go zero waste is super hard, but recycling at least makes it not as bad.

You should do a compare and contrast type thing about your editing vs. the person who normally edits your videos with the exact same footage to see how it comes out. I think that would be funny and entertaining to see the difference in creativity using the same material. Might be to time consuming and redundant but just throwing it out there :)

Look for a grocery store in Austin that doesn’t have packaging... in LA there is one I go to called Tare. I even get my Almond Milk and vegan meat substitutes (I’m also not full vegan)
Also, skip produce bags for like your lettuce and just wash thoroughly (or bring a bag from home)
Farmers markets or small grocery stores for fruit is good! Usually you can bring your own container or are given in biodegradable cardboard. Small changes!
I'm right outside of Nashville and I get my unpackaged foods from sprouts. I haven't found meat and cheese subs or almond milk unpackaged yet.

I’ve noticed what helps me, as days go by if I notice that I am low on something I will create a little grocery list in my notes on my phone because when I am shopping I have my phone and it’s my best friend at the grocery stores (hope this helps you because it’s helped me)

Loved this vlog!! I love that you’re encouraging more plant based meals and I agree, the majority of people are not going to go 100% vegan so it’s way more helpful to encourage the swaps where you can and normalize that!
You inspired me to try and go more meatless a year or two ago when you were in LA and now I eat much more plant based! Also the dairy was what caused my cystic acne I realized so ditching that was huge 🙌🙌

Totally hear you with the sheets! My mother in law got us some at Macy’s that scrunch in the middle of each corner to help if the bed scrunchie doesn’t work! They never come up!
Cool video. When I go to the grocery store to avoid a lot of bags I just get fresh produce so I put it in those small plastic bags or sometimes I don't, and place it in my own big bag or paper bag. OR if you do get the plastic you can find a place in your city to recycle it :) ...hope you have a good Sunday 🌞. xoxo
No sure how things are like in the U.S supermarkets but in Australia we can pick out our own fruit and veg and we just put in a reusable produce bags. Also recycling plastic properly is also ,👍🏼👍🏼
I am in the US and I have recently started using reusable bags! I never knew they excited and I am in love with them. I used to hate having to put the veggies in all those little plastic bags!
I actually like the editing with less stuff in it (animation/music, etc). Makes the mind focus more on what the person is talking! That maple caramel flavor looks bomb! I'm gonna have to try it!
I agree, I too hate wrinkles in my sheets and I hate it when my fitted sheet starts to slowly come off, so I got these corner clips that you just clip on your sheets and it clips the sheets together on the corners of the mattress
My tip for efficient grocery shopping is to use a pickup service that your grocery store offers if they offer it. I base my meal plan off what’s on sale so it’s a win win (I save a ton of money this way!) To me it’s worth the small fee that my grocery charges. I am not tempted to buy anything I don’t need because I don’t see anything at the store 😂

I think grocery shopping may be easier if you think of meals you want to prepare/eat and then specifically purchasing those items you need. As well as just in case snacks or fruits and stuff. Grocery shopping has been hard for me rn too! But by thinking of the meals I want to make, shopping has been a lil easier!!!

The new line at target casulana the sheets are amazing and have built in scrunchies on the corners so they don’t slip and they’re not visible! I have a temperpedic and dealt with the same issue! Made the sheets worth the money for sure!

Omg we grocery shop the same way hahaha! I walk in with the intentions of only 3 things and I walk out with none or 2/3 things and unnecessary items. 🤣 I either have to make a list(which I forget) or online shop or pick up haha! 😂

Hey Nikki, for LOW WASTE grocery shopping I use my own reusable produce bags. I found really cute, draw-string, muslin cotton set on amazon for cheap. I try my best to find produce that is not packaged, and make sure to wash it thoroughly when I get home. I
I’m the same way with grocery shopping. I HAVE TO TAKE A LIST. It’s the ONLY thing that works for me.
Maybe for delivery you can request; “Minimal packaging and brown bags if possible.”

Also, you can buy fitted sheets for a specific sized mattress! Sometimes they are hard to find, but they do sell them! I have a Lull mattress so its like a 10 inch mattress, and the only place I know that has 10 inch deep fitted sheets is Ikea lol they’re not the best quality but I don’t have the sheet riding up issue lol but most fitted sheets online will tell you how deep they are in the details!!
