@@PrincePeno Bare Knuckle 3 (the Japanese Version is much easier). America's normal difficulty is Japanese's hard mode. In the US hard mode they kill you quickly with much higher damage and have like 3x the health. It's why killing this boss is so tedious.

it looks like robot Y has similar AI to barbon and zamza in sor2. certain moves(axel's double knee in this case) change their AI so they stop blocking, or in robot Y's case, he stops breaking out of combos.

You ever watch videos like this and then feel stupid because your entire childhood was based on the thought that this robot could not be fairly beaten on hard before the time limit? No? Okay
They might have had to change it between versions which could take more time (International and Japanese) and/or probably because they are not the original colors. I don't know if popularity of the Japanese version also played a part in that. All of this is just my speculation, not official info. It doesn't help that retro characters have no alternate palettes.
@@ximicro5400 If you have this on PC, there's always modding. There's mods for the SoR3 colors on GameBanana, but I don't know if they were updated to work with V07 (current version as of now).
is no one going to talk about how weird robot y looks compared to everything else in this game? Not only does he look out of place but there isn't a lot of sprites for him so his animations look really stiff and there not smooth plus he doens't have much of a shadow plus he's patheticly easy... He seems rushed.

Ash is from Bare Knuckle III, but he had to be removed from Streets of Rage 3. However, his playable character form was never taken out, so you can still use a Game Genie/Pro Action Replay code to use him. Game Genie: BAWA-AAA0 Pro Action Replay: 002416:0008
He was probably too offensive of a homosexual stereotype, so he got removed from the American and European versions and cannot be seen in the game by normal means.

@@ikaguraBK3 felt too easy whereas SOR3 felt too hard. Difficulty needed to be somewhere between the two.
