    I was there shortly after the fire started. The fire started by the railroad tracks minutes after the train had passed. The fire could have quickly been extinguished but they watched it grow for a few hours before they began combating it.

      Isn't that normal? Do you expect firefighters to just drop out of the trees in just a minute? And not all wildfires need to be fully contained.

      @@yosefmacgruber1920 Yes it's normal. There are millions of dollars to be made fighting fire and if the extinguish if too fast, no profit. You're from the city ain't ya?

    It would have been nice if they would have interviewed Park personnel to find out what steps are being taken to secure or protect historical records and to transport the sled dogs to a safe location.
