There’s not a band like them. It’s intimate and spacey, sonically rich and heart tugging. I love Big Thief!
If someone asked me to describe what makes this band special, I couldn't. I don't understand how they do what they do. I don't even know what genre this is.

There stuff gives me radiohead (early stuff), the cranberries, beach house, slowdive in a way, and Kate wolf just to name a folk artist. Obsessed with their sound rn, I can’t get a full grasp on it, but that’s what I love about them, nothing sound quite like it :)
I don't quite have the words. Equal parts furious and pained and uplifting. It's a hurricane. Swallows you whole. The album is great, but Little Things is on its own level.

Never really listened to Big Thief before but my daughter wanted to go to their concert last night and we were right on the barricade in a packed venue and HOLY CRAP! That was a great concert. Hats off to this band, I’m a fan.

Goddamn this is good. Love the textures to this, ever-shifting. Love the parallel of a sound you can never quite pin down to the lyrics describing not being able to keep sight of individual faces in New York's crowds (and not being able to find the song's subject). Big Thief never misses!
