This is a great deck tech. I think the only thing I would do right away in the list would be to pull out Hull Breacher and replace it with Simic Ascendancy as another alternate win con.
PnT was my signature deck at 2 lgs' that nobody else played. They saw toothy and got scared but realized it had walkers and counter magic and were blown away. One time I ultimated Jace architect of thought and stole an oko, feast and famine and sol ring.
I've been playing PnT walkers for a while. I learned a few things from this video, though. These are my thoughts: -Fog effects (including Fog Bank) don't belong in any deck that isn't expressly a turbo fog deck. The one possible exception is Constant Mists, and that's only really good in a landfall deck. I'd rather run walkers (Will Kenrith, OG Tammy, Jace AOT) that can shrink or stop attackers. -Capping your CMC/MV for walkers at five makes a lot of sense. Eugene is, as you mention, worth the exception. -Focussing on Pir makes a lot of sense as well. -Do you actually own a Timetwister? -Speaking of Timetwister effects, Jace TLG is simply a bad card. While this deck wants walkers to ultimate, we need to operate under the assumption that they are not going to ultimate; this is especially important in Commander, where all three of your opponents are going to attack your walker. Yes, Vorinclex is really good, as is Doubling Season, but banking on ults is Magical Christmas Land. You want walkers that are good on all abilities. You're right to include Vivien and Kiora for this reason. -OG Garruk is by far the most versatile and impactful Garruk, followed by Primal Hunter: the former ramps; the latter draws. -Playing this deck made me realize that Nissa WSTE is amazing even in two-color decks.
Yes, having walkers that function without their ults are good for the consistency of the deck. My last couple games have caused me to lean more towards taking out Jace TLG just because, while thief-wheeling your opponents is awesome, you can still die to creature beats in the mid to late game. The effect is still pretty heckin' good tho. No I wish I had an irl timetwister lol. Most expensive cards I own are a few revised Volcanic Islands.
Question with the Toothy/ deadeye navigator combo. Wouldn't you draw the cards before Toothy is brought back into play? Therefore not allowing him to gain the counters because you drew before he came back? I have this deck and love it just curious on the combo.
The way it works, the ability to draw cards goes on stack when you blink Toothy, but you don't revolve it until Toothy has come back. Blinking happens all in one action. Therefore, when you resolve the draw ability, he's back on the battlefield and he sees you drawing cards, this gaining back the counters.
I know it's old, but Pir himself is great with the Deadeye combo. On the other hand, guardian Project is great for it, without pulling a very scary and even more removable Vorinclex out. I find that Monstrous Raider and Doubling Season draw far too much threat.
Never thought about Pir and Toothy as a planeswalker deck, seems really interesting

Great video, very informative!
Thanks for taking the time to check out my small magic channel! Means a lot to the people here behind the scenes at MCTV :)

I'd be interested in seeing your list if you have a version online you'd be willing to share. Thank you
Love the content man can’t wait to collaborate

Jace, cunning castaway and Ichormoor should go in, bc they both go infinite with pir, doubling season and vorinclux.
