What a fantastic way to get more out of existing supplies. I love the wildflower thinlets and they are one of my go to's. Just been watching Tim's sneak peaks and I can't wait for wildflowers 2. TFS.
Loooove it!!! I have been procrastinating buying the TH Wildflower Thinlit dies, BUT after seeing your GORGEOUS card -- I will be ordering the set...like now....Lol...Esp DIG you left the flower white...NICE!! Thanks so much for sharing and the inspiration. Taylor:)
Gorgeous! I am going to try this with the dye inks that I have, I have wanted to use yuppo paper but alcohol inks smell to strong to me, thank you for a great alternative choice!
Awesome background, Shari! Love the color combo, and the simplicity of the flowers works so well with it. I was wondering, does the 70% alcohol make a difference over 50%? I'm pretty sure what I've got is the 50%, but I'm curious if the extra 20% matters. Anyway, love your card project--tfs! 😊
I love love love this.. Beautiful, I am going to try this. I didn't realize water based ink could be used on Yupo paper. Would Distress Ink work also? I love your colour choices. Thanks Shari.
Hi Melodie, I haven't tried Distress inks on Yupo, but my thought is that the inks won't dry because they are water reactive. Archival inks will work. Hope that helps!
Such an artistically stunning card technique Shari. Quick question: could one spray water instead of alcohol onto the card and have same results and could one use liquid alcohol inks on Yupo paper with same results?
This works so well because of the properties of the Yupo. I'm afraid the inks will dry too fast on glossy cardstock, to where you can't get them to move and blend. Hope that helps!
Hi May, can you let me know which journal page you're referring to? If you're thinking of using this inked background for a journal page using Yupo, I would not Gesso it first. I hope that helps.
Beautiful stunning effect. Love the colors and the hint of the stamp. The white die and silver/black sentiment perfect. Love this card.
You do the coolest techniques! I love the colors and texture on this. The white die flowers are perfect.
This is great! Must try. Love the color coordinates series. Thank you Shari!

This is just a beautiful card.
Wonderful technique...looks a lot like batik fabric.
Beautiful once again Shari! You are so talented!
Love the colors!
What an eye catching card. So pretty!
Love this. Need to get some YUPO and give it a try! Thanks so sharing your talents!
That is a gorgeous background. I've never used Yupo paper before and now I'm going to "have" to play with it...thank you!

Beautiful, love it
I just love these
Well, that's really beautiful! I wish that my "experiments" turned out so well!
Love how the card turned out! Thank you
Fantastic from the minute 1:19 seconds flowered card born from inside out. THANK VERY MUCH

Such an artistically stunning card technique Shari. Quick question: could one spray water instead of alcohol onto the card and have same results and could one use liquid alcohol inks on Yupo paper with same results?
Love this technique. Do you think it would work on Glossy cardstock too! I have tons - guess I'll have to experiment! Love this card.
This works so well because of the properties of the Yupo. I'm afraid the inks will dry too fast on glossy cardstock, to where you can't get them to move and blend. Hope that helps!
Beautiful! Do you need to seal the alcohol inks? How would you stop them from "running"?
They stop once the alcohol evaporates, you can use a craft heat tool to speed up the drying.
Love it!
I know about yupo, but I am thinking if using this technique with my regular scrapbooking. Perhaps gelatos??? Thank you for the inspiration.
Hi Kathy, I'm not sure the Gelatos will dry on the Yupo since they stay water reactive. I hope that helps!
Thank you for the tip...you are right, gelatos won't work. Guess I will get out my paints and give them a try.
Really nice color combination. I'm assuming the alcohol will not damage the rubber stamp?
Your stamps should be ok if you clean the alcohol off with a baby wipe or Ultra Clean. Thanks for your question!
Very nice. I have a question about the journal page because I am just starting out, do I need to put Jesso before I do the ink back ground? Thanks
Hi May, can you let me know which journal page you're referring to? If you're thinking of using this inked background for a journal page using Yupo, I would not Gesso it first. I hope that helps.
It was the one with Yupo paper color coordinates: Purples
Lovely card Shari, just one question...would the alcohol not affect the rubber stamp at all? x
Your stamps should be ok if you clean the alcohol off with a baby wipe or Ultra Clean. Thanks for your question!
Hi,. Is the Yuppo paper that you used translucent or does it need to be medium Yuppo? Thank you
I am a bit confused. Is this not dye ink you are using on the Yupo in this project? Will this dry?
les couleurs du fond sont jolies mais le tampon napperon n'apporte rien
