Maby iam all wrong, but could this be used like an ir sensor? Like I am building a automatic fridge like a vending machine and at the rnd it has an convayerbelt to trow out the product. I planned to use the traditional waterproof ir sensors but after seeing this maby this can monitor the inside of the machine to find errors if a product gets stuck so this one sensor can replace all the ir sensors.
This is pretty cool. Many years ago I designed a project using a waterproof ultrasonic transducer to measure water height of a flowing river. You could program a sample period, store the data in a SD stick and it would go to sleep to conserve the battery. This device would be fun to play with? Thanks for the video and it looks like you dad fun with it.
Thanks for review. I wanted to ask while communicating with USART what do we get through RX terminal? I tried to find on internet but couldn't found one.
Hi, Please suggest me.. can i use this sensor to the welding torch? i wanted to measure distance between Welding torch end to the welding job. can it measure the distance at the time of welding is going on?
I am not sure . I do t know what types of rays imitated when welding. Why uAE this long range sensor ? Use ultrasonic sensor ruclips.net/video/CpCLa60WNXY/видео.html
I believe it should work with any device that supports an rs232 uart. However parsing the response string from the sensor into a useable valid may require a lot of programming. You already have ready libraries for arduino, for 8051 you would pretty much be doing all that yourself.
Thanks for the review. It could be great if you could conduct standard trials vs measured distances and measure total error. Also it could be good to see impact of material type being sensed on the error value.
2020.07.05 i tested it in bright sunlight, and it showed a lot of errors in sunlight. I couldn’t conduct on rain and fog, but I think I will be more confused.
ttl to uart module comunication level is 5 or 3.3 ?because lidar is 3.3 and can be damage with 5v in its rx

this module will give you data. microSD card is separate module for Arduino and you can save it very easily.
hi this can use also for water level distance ?
I waited to see if anyone replay. I have not tested it.
I have ordered one specifically to test with water tank.
@@yummyzoot oh great. If it's work please let us know. Thanks

Nice review. Please make tutorial about how to connect this tfmini plus to i2c mode
Ok I will try
@@robojax did you menaged i2c with ardupilot?
Can we interface it with particularly 8051? If not, can you suggest any sensor that can measure a distance ranging from 10cm to 10m
I don't know what 8051 is.

Nice...
Ia this sensor can monitoring level tank > 10meter ?
thanks. I have not tested it. Never thought it would be used for liquid.
Would it work on a drone over water?
Hello, I have not tested it on water.
Does it work with water and are there any non adruino examples.
I will test it and see if it works. God willing I will make video on that.

you are welcome. I am planning to do that in coming weeks.
can we able to lock the distance by using this sensor
you mean to make it frozen and say like that? yes you would have to use Arduino or other MCU to keep that value and use it for something else.
Great review. Please test it in sunlight, rain and fog as well if i may suggest. And even underwater, as it it watertight.
Thanks. Sure I will do that. I will try it with practical application.

Can you do a tutorial to use this sensor on arduino?
I have this sensor , will try make video in the future
