I love TF Noir, been thinking of getting Noir Extreme for a while. Great haul - I don’t think spending a grand on fragrances would go down well in my house. Particularly when I’ve bought my wife a bottle of Radox for Christmas.

I've been with my bottle of Naxos for a week now. Still mesmerized with the whole experience - unboxing, holding the gorgeous bottle, spraying it and daydreaming for a while. It's a real (multiple) nosegasm as the "experts" say.

A superb cool weather haul. Quite a few here that I'm surprised you hadn't tried Chris! Wonderful that you picked up Naxos though. And unfortunately that chocolatey gourmand touch in the opening of Private Accord doesn't stick around for very long. But all is fair in love and frags!

This Is Him is actually one of my favorites. As a fan of incense I love it. Incense, grapefruit, black pepper, and dry vanilla, awesome. Rock it with a leather jacket and boots or Chucks.
Yes, Naxos is a beauty. Unfortunately, I don’t wear it too often. Maybe that’ll change this winter.

I love Teo Cabanel! Super interesting you find Oh Lala iris oriented and similar to DHI. I see what you mean, as it is very smooth and powdery/creamy but to me it's a hazelnut bomb in the opening, with a woody sandalwood dry down. If anything reminds me of Caron's new Aimez Moi Comme Je Suis but woody and sweet instead of vetiver & fresh. either way, solid release from the house i love it :)

I sold my bottle of naxos on facebook for £65. didn't like it. Much prefer cheaper aramis tobacco reserve as my winter tobacco frag.

@@wallmaan wore it for Christmas with the in-laws and wife and got the same reaction when I wore it for one of our anniversaries. Nothing.
No projection at all (usually my wife will say something before we head out/put on our masks) and really have to dig in to smell it
Chris, do you find it more cost effective to buy straight from the US / Canada based stores than some of the UK stockists? Are you not hit by customs charges and tax and end up paying more in the long run. I’ve my eye on a few Imaginary Authors & Zoologist fragrances and wondered where was best to buy from . 👍🏻

Where did you manage to get the naxos and spice surprise from please, I can't seem to find them online..
'This is Him' was my Autumn fragrance, its not quite heavier enough for the English winter, I absolutely love the unique scent but I would not say it mass appealing as incense is not for everyone. Naxos is my winter fragrance I bought it on Black Friday like you it was my first Xerjoff. :) Good to see your no longer a Xerjoff virgin now.

I had the exact same reaction to Burberry London. My TF Noir Extreme is nearly gone and It’s one of my favourites - will be replaced without doubt and it’s a great option. Z&V This Is Him is a lovely scent and I also enjoy the ‘Just Rock’ flanker a great deal - worth checking out if you haven’t done so already. I’m on the fence with SWYI - I think the chestnut might not work for me - although they don’t smell alike per-se I prefer the Wanted By Night for similar situations. Must try out some Swedoft soon
From What I recall London was great. It smelled very cinnamony and refined and easy to like

I was a bit off put by the boss bottled intense, I was thinking a bit more spices, like Mont Blanc presence when I saw it compared to a apple pie, also agree with you about a whiff of waffle cone, that opening kind of reminds me of a old school ice cream shop, idk what they’re like over there but in the states where I’m from I used to go to this old school one with these oak counters and that’s what the opening reminded me of

For as dense as Burberry London smells, it doesn’t last at all on my skin. Kind of disappointing really.
