I know Dhabas secret, Insted of masoor paste you should have to add fine chopped onion and after onion is become red add some cooking soda which makes all like gravy and then add boiled masoor

Have u heard about Lai Bhaari kolhapur hotel for famous Akkha Masoor. Its near merywather ground Raman Mala Kolhapur Try there Akkha Massor and Kuska rice.
Its just like Heaven

you shoud try aakhha masur in M..M...masur in kolhapur.they make ghee masur, dhahi n khushka rice... so testy
