I’ve heard the whole lecture without any break and interruption …my findings are , no matter how bad the current situation is, no matter how big the mistake that we’ve already done , still there is chance to lift ourselves up . I used to think that most of books are useless because we can’t use them in our daily life but I’ve corrected a myself and now I believe that only study can make us free from economic and spiritual property , reading can improve our power to see things and that happened to Malcom X . Reading is as important as eating, eating improves our physical health and reading builds our mental and spiritual health.

২০১৩ সালে আমেরিকায় থাকা কালিন ম্যালকমের এই বইটি কিনেছিলাম গুডইল থেকে। অসাধারণ লেগেছিল। মুগ্ধহয়ে পড়েছিলাম। এর পর থেকে ম্যালকমের লেকচার আর জীবনি নিয়ে আরো জানার চেষ্টা করেছি। সম্প্রতি নেটফ্লিক্স ম্যাল্কম আর আলি কে নিয়ে একটা ডকুমেন্টারি করেছে সেটাও দেখেছি। স্যারের কথা গুলা ভালো লেগেছে। স্যার যে শহরে থাকেন আমিও কাকতালীয়ভাবে এখন সেই শহরে এসেছি এই বছর পিএইচডি করতে। স্যারের সাথে দেখা করার ইচ্ছা আছে ইন শা আল্লাহ।
অসাধারণ সুন্দর একটা আলোচনা, খুব ভালো লেগেছে। আল্লাহ রাব্বুল আলামিন আমাদেরকে আভ্যন্তরীন জেলখানা থেকে মুক্ত হয়ে ইসলামের আলোকে জীবন অতিবাহিত করার তৌফিক দান করুন, আমিন।

Malcom X changed the paradigm of American politics. Two of the most significant results from his works are: conversion of black Americans to Islam and opportunity for non-whites to enter America. So, the Muslim population in America largely increased because of his movement directly from his works and indirectly by his impacts on American policy. His confidence and indomitable attitude helped him to be enlightened in the darkness of the prison. He first built himself by reading numerous books on self development and then helped a nation to grow. Alex is also a result of the movement of Malcom X. Alex exposed the dark history of slavery in America. However, we need to learn from them and realize that we do have racism in our country. we are suppressing the aboriginals in hilly districts and most notably we discriminate people based on their skin color. we as Bangladeshis need to follow the true teachings of Islam to build a fair society. The conversation was inspiring. I liked many parts of it. Let me point some out. 1. The way he learned inside jail and importance of reading books. Knowledge is key to freedom. Ignorance is the best weapon of oppressors. There are thousands of examples. (Also biased knowledge is partial slavery. Think about our education system, yes we are slaves to the western world. Our norms are heavily influenced by them. We are taking things from them that are bad (breaking family ties, indecency etc.) and avoiding their good (less corruption, self confidence) in most cases.) 2. After the hazz the realisation that ultimate form of equality lies not in making (black people in this case) any race superior but avoiding to see each other as different races altogether. In Islam we see it clearly. Racism doesn't work when performing salat in jamat and in hazz. 3. Self realisation is the key to make oneself free from biases. The last part of speech where he pointed out about our subtle racism in Bangladesh. Urdu was forced on us like we are forcing Bangla on them. We should understand what freedom truly is. But it is hard when we ourselves are the oppressors. We should reevaluate ourselves more often.

The last speech forced me to think again ! Yes , I was just wondering and bleming the white people but in a subtle way that we are treating the minor people is way beyond. This is an amazing story telling experience. We seldom understand what constitutes a success, the hard work, the dedication the will power and the sacrifice. We as a nation need to change ourselves and we have to experience the lessons by ourselves and motivating ourselves to undertake such society building activity. Malcom X changed the paradigm of American politics. Two of the most significant results from his works are: conversion of black Americans to Islam and opportunity for non-whites to enter America. So, the Muslim population in America largely increased because of his movement directly from his works and indirectly by his impacts on American policy. His confidence and indomitable attitude helped him to be enlightened in the darkness of the prison. He first built himself by reading numerous books on self development and then helped a nation to grow. Alex is also a result of the movement of Malcom X. Alex exposed the dark history of slavery in America. However, we need to learn from them and realize that we do have racism in our country. we are suppressing the aboriginals in hilly districts and most notably we discriminate people based on their skin color. we as Bangladeshis need to follow the true teachings of Islam to build a fair society. I am impressed by the depth of knowledge of Professor Karim. thanks

ম্যালকম এক্স সম্পর্কে প্রথম জেনেছিলাম রোর বাংলা নামক একটা ফেইসবুক পেইজ থেকে,তারপর থেকে যতো জেনেছি ততোই ভাল লেগেছে। আমেরিকা মতো দেশে ইসলাম প্রচারের পিছনে তার অবদান অনেক।
আলোচনা অসাধারণ ছিল .....
গিফট ভাউচার পাওয়ার লোভে দারুন একজন মানুষ, দারুন একটা ঘটনা জানতে পারলাম।

The conversation was inspiring. I liked many parts of it. Let me point some out.
1. The way he learned inside jail and importance of reading books. Knowledge is key to freedom. Ignorance is the best weapon of oppressors. There are thousands of examples. (Also biased knowledge is partial slavery. Think about our education system, yes we are slaves to the western world. Our norms are heavily influenced by them. We are taking things from them that are bad (breaking family ties, indecency etc.) and avoiding their good (less corruption, self confidence) in most cases.)
2. After the hazz the realisation that ultimate form of equality lies not in making (black people in this case) any race superior but avoiding to see each other as different races altogether. In Islam we see it clearly. Racism doesn't work when performing salat in jamat and in hazz.
3. Self realisation is the key to make oneself free from biases. The last part of speech where he pointed out about our subtle racism in Bangladesh. Urdu was forced on us like we are forcing Bangla on them. We should understand what freedom truly is. But it is hard when we ourselves are the oppressors. We should reevaluate ourselves more often.

The last speech forced me to think again ! Yes , I was just wondering and bleming the white people but in a subtle way that we are treating the minor people is way beyond. Its not about the minor people only .I think there have lots of dots in the society but there have very little amount of people who connect it as well as debunk towards the society so that we can think outside the box!
