Have you try "gudeg" (jack fruit cooked with coconut milk and palm sugar and chicken, egg, tofu). Not spicy but too sweet for westerner). Also try soto ayam, mie godog, nasi liwet

its hard to rate because so many food with random/different ingredients in traditional food, so i hope you can see or asking first about what the ingredients inside, you can eat or not, and from borobudur to tamansari only 1 to 1,5 hours with car/motorcycle,,, im sorry my english so bad because im not use google translate hihi
Thanks for the question Paul, we loved the food overall but you should pay attention to what is spicy in case you are sensitive to that. It was just over an hour's drive to the temple. 🤗
