A lot of time spent on aesthetics but little on functionality. How long did it take to charge? How long did it take to charge a device compared to other batteries? How much charge did you actually get out of it out of the nominal 10k? Easy to make a battery physically small by making it smaller capacity too....

I own the nitecore nb10000(10000mah) v1.. rated capacity is 6400mah..I got it a while ago for around $50

but where did you find it for $50?

@Qjemuse it's on Amazon from lumen tactical for $59 but I believe I got it cheaper when it came out. I have the version 1 so the new models might be a little better and more money.. I purchased it August 27,2021 and never had a issue with it, but it does get a little hot when in use.

Low voltage mode just disconnects the auto shut off that engages when the power bank doesn’t detect a device drawing any power. After you finish charging low voltage devices such as AirPods, you must remember to shut off the low voltage mode so the power bank can turn itself off.

I have had so bad experiences with NB20000 that I will probably never buy nitecore power banks ever again. I like their flashlights but NB20000 it's expanding and getting spicy pillow just over a year and nitecore doesn't seem to care because it's out of warranty.

I enjoy viewing your reviews and learn important information, but this recommendations does not "compute". Yes, this power bank is 3.6 cubic inches smaller and a whopping 2 ounces lighter but is costs 450% ($70) more than a typical 10,000 mAh power bank. And, they have nice round corners. These reviews need to consider VALUE when making recommendations.

I have the sharper edged NB 10000gen2. Its nice if you can get a lowe profile usb cable and just stack on your phone in your pocket to charge. I like the curved edges, but I dunno if I $30 like the curved edges, esp since its heavier.

Would love a 5000 version of this, had a 10000 previously and it felt way to big and unnecessarily large for most people. As long as you charge your phone at night at the hotel and carry an extra small battery for your camera you don't need 10 000

Carbon fiber, shrinking tech is more expensive. Paying a lot for design & weight i guess. Still too much for 20w

When come to such prices you know you are paying for the design and innovation. So honestly can’t compare to other similar capacity.

@1:47 the complaints/reviews you are referring to on nitecore's website are mine. They do need to fix this issue as it is minor but it disproportionally effects the functionality of the device. Not sure how it got past initial prototyping.
Apart from that, this device is all A's for me. Its the perfect mix of simplicity, basic fast charging and the best portability. I have multiple different brands, models and sizes of power banks and this carbo has been my go-to for 90% of the time. I am at the point where I've started giving away my other power banks to family and friends and would rather just buy the carbo series moving forward.

I wonder is there any good powerbank with only USB-C connectors? I want to get rid of old USB-A and move only to USB-C but every powerbank seem to have still also old USB which is annoying.

I bought this power bank and was very disappointed. It is a very nice and small device. But three things no one mentions. 1. When I use 20w charging for a phone or tablet, the power bank gets extremely hot. I estimate the temperature to be over 55°C. 2. Because the power bank heats up like this, its efficiency will not be good, but I did not measure the efficiency. 3. When the last LED started to light up, the voltage of the powerbank started to drop from 12.03v to approx. 11v and then shut off even though it wasn't fully discharged.

NITECORE = Poor Customer Service. My NB10000 failed, granted after the warranty period, but without any heavy use. The USB-A port just fell out. Customer Service will only repair at my cost, all in will almost be price of a new unit. Poor showing. Better products for your hard earned money.

If they made the carbo magsafe wireless charging it would be a slam dunk. I know they have the NW5000 but I'd like a bigger one to slap on my phone, shove in my pocket and not worry

Which carbon fiber, battery bank of the ones you showed off is the best not in terms of shape just in terms of the charging, the speeds, the heating everything in consideration, and which one is cheaper and which one would you recommend?

I like this for my emergency kit. but for EDC/travel to urban places the gen 2 is probably fine and costs quite a bit less. gen 1 still looks the best in all black imo

Wish they made this with two USB-C ports. Almost everything I use now has USB-C charging. USB-A is a liability now. Don't want to live that dongle life.
The low LED brightness would be a pro for me, I hate bright LEDs at night. I hate when my room is illuminated with bright blue LEDs at night when I'm trying to sleep. It's worse when you are traveling and have to charge everything up at night.
