    To answers ElGato's question. A board foot is 12 square inches by 1" in thickness. It's sold that way in lumber yards that specialize in exotic and hard woods. A burl is a roundish bump that grows on a side of a tree, very figurative inside.

    Jarrah dosent come from Tasmania,its from western Australia.If you want a really top quality wood from Tasmania try to get some birdseye Huon Pine,it will blow your mind!!!

    Lignum is used as pully blocks , mainly in hydro electric applications. Cant really buy anymore and most ebay sellers are calling their Verawood, LV.
