Not sure if there is already one. But it would be cool to see this video done again for 2024. SO many changes when it comes to gear sets on what is useful and not now. Totally different from 3 years ago. Cheers for all the work you do HH. Love ya stuff!
Thank you! Can you do an updated guide on this if anything has changed please? And maybe sort the video by sections for early game, mid game, and late game.
The "early/mid game f2p" version of this is EXACTLY the same. You just don't/haven't had the energy to pump into d20/fk20. Do the exactly same thing HH does here but just be more liberal with the gear pieces you acquire. 1 flat stat or even 2 flat stats on pieces might be upgrades for you. Just use your brain and make an educated decision.
@@hannahdean6734 I’m going to let you in on a little secret. The key to to this game, and ALL other gatcha games, is gear. You can whale for all the best characters all you like and sure they will give you a nice boost due to their kits being OP but GEAR means everything. I don’t know how long you have been playing for but here is a rough number of energy you want to sink into D20, S20 and FK20 (don’t worry about IG20 until after the first 3). You need to sink 100,000 energy into EACH of drag, spider and fireknight. If you haven’t sunk 300,000 energy into these yet… do that first and then recheck how your mods are going. P.s. People who have been playing at the top 1%-10% of the player base for a couple years have spent EASILY over 5 million energy in drag, spider and fireknight. P.p.s. Don’t play RAID p2p unless you have nigh unlimited disposable income. I know people that have spent well over $50,000 and some even pushing $100,000 into their accounts. Play f2p, yes it is slower and difficult to keep up with the pace of the game but it is SO much more rewarding. Good luck to you in your grind!
Note that Destroy gear is not garbage anymore! It's amazing for Doom Tower Crab boss, pretty much a must-have. Similarly after recent buffs an importance of a certains sets went through the roof. So be careful what you sell! If you roll some amazing stats on a gear, pretty much never sell it, cause you don't know how Plarium might re-balance it, and with added place in the storage - you *can* keep at least few of them.
This really helped. Took me from 700 ok pieces to 300 great pieces. Would have been nice to have the accessories in there as well so 1 video could rule them all.
Brother thank you for this video, I am at Mid/Early Late game on my two accounts and I have struggled to get my head wrapped around a good process for eliminating gear efficiently....uber helpful
Found this linked in our clan Discord. Exactly what I was looking for. Moving from mid to end game gear have a ton of "good" gear. Need to pick out the best gear now.
Super helpful video. I was always pushing the 700 storage limit but now have been able to get some much needed space. The filter is key and also the RNG factor too.
Watched this again today, reviewing before I dive into my large hoard of unrolled gear for the Ukko Artifact Event, and feel amazed how much the game has changed. I used to never want Resistance on gear, but now I am desperate for it. I didn't keep it back in the day, like you say in this video, it didn't use to be one of the best stats, but now it's not just good, but necessary. #Hydra #IronTwins
THX a lot. I am in Early/mid game and my storage is full of artifacts and without some help you provide with this video a won't be able to sell anything :D
This is the exact video I needed today. Just before the last spider tournament iu was able to clear spider 19 and then easily 20. I went from 100 to 700 accessories in 3 days. ( won my tournament group) I have so many that i don't know what to do with them all.
Thank you this is so well timed for me I have been at 700/700 for awhile and over 200/300 in inbox Not all my champions are fully dressed but I am still learning mechanics and what is relly good or not
Thanks for this! I'm very late game but I still have lots of "OK" gear... So good to see a clear system for clearing it out. Also interesting to see you're not wild about relentless sets. I'm not a fan of it either as I don't want to shed all my buffs. I find it often does more harm than good.
I'd love to see one of your infographics on this posted in Discord. Beautiful vid, HH! This answers soooo many questions! Cheers! Edit: A QOL suggestion, a better gear selling interface, or another button that allows you to sell a single piece without triggering the "mass sell" function.
Cool vid HH, I really struggle when it comes to clearing out my gear (I’m super endgame), I’ve been trying to determine simple rules re what to keep and this has helped me, incredible frustrating having 680 inventory the whole time.
6 months after posted and I still come back to this and empty out my gear. Just cleaned it all up, made 7m silver and actually found peices that boosted my hp nuker spider team and got it going faster.
I was almost at the 1000 cap, with no idea what to keep. Less than 3 minutes in and I'm down to 271, with about 4-5m more silver than I've ever had so far. Thanks, man.
Great video. Been holding onto some pretty good gear but my inventory is filled up. Only ever have about 50 free slots at any time. This should help me slim that down a little
Great video Hellhades! very informative and helpful for all types of players👍 I keep any decent set pieces and just throw them on my vault sitters so that I can boost my overall power.
Great Video HH! Really helped out a lot. I was just wondering if you could talk to us about the accessories that come from the Spider. I was moving up the list and just saw that you did a vid on it! lol! Thank you
DUDE!!!!!!!!! Why didn't you think to make this one earlier? I have been getting better at cleaning out gear, but this helped so much. Helped me figure out which stuff I need to prioritize and what I am probably never going to use. I just wish you went over boots a little more. I have a couple champs in non speed boots(miscreated and Rhazin), but I have a ton of non speed boots cluttering stuff up. I think I should keep a few, but not sure which.
I cleared out like 84 pieces in less than 5 minutes and I am not even close to finished. I now feel like I can start running dragon again and not be stuck with a ton of garbage gear blocking me from being able to keep my mailbox free of excess gear. Wish you did this before the dragon tourney recently.
Good help. Though I think it needs an updated version for the usability of some sets now some are boosted and some may have become useful with the introduction of Doom tower and new champions. But the method of cleansing and what the good/bad stats are will still be the same.
Many people have the disease of not rolling up gear. They say "I might use it later on" but it just sits in their inventory taking up space. I have this same disease too!! :)
Since you mentioned for input on if anyone would like some more depth, the most helpful thing by far would be some recommendations or a list of strict criteria for items that you insta-sell if they don't meet it. Going through items and subjectively trying to decide whether it's worth keeping For example, the suggestions to filter by flat ATK/RES, DEF/RES, HP/RES, ATK/DEF, ATK/HP, and DEF/HP was extremely helpful. A comprehensive list of specific criteria like that that completely eliminates opinion or subjectivity would make me enjoy the game way more and stop putting off clearing my artifact storage. Farting Cows had a guide with strict criteria like that but he didn't adjust at all for which slot it is, not for sets, nor for main stat/substat synergy, which like you mentioned you need to be way more lenient on boots than weapons but he made no distinction. In other words, I'd be totally fine with a decent algorithm clearing my artifacts out, I just don't know what parameters to set. If I had a basic list of minimum requirements for each piece and I could just go through and see if each item meets it, that would be incredible. Would maybe need to change the criteria at +4, +8, etc. based on rolls. Thanks in any case for this video, I've watched pretty much every artifact evaluation guide ever made and this was the most helpful so far. If you were to ever make a video with a text-based quantitative approach to gear evaluation specifying exactly when to keep and when to sell, it'd be maybe the greatest Raid video ever made (to me anyway).
I tried developing one such system but it was pretty bad, buy my methodology was to give each stat a value, then give each item that many points of value based on how many ROLLS of that stat it has. And then set the requirements for minimum points at each of +0, +4, +8, +12 based on the item slot (top row highest requirement, gloves/chest next, boots most lenient), as well as based on whether it's 5 or 6 star. So for example maybe a 6-star helm at +8 needs at least 4 points, and it has two speed rolls each worth 1.5 points and two accuracy rolls each worth 0.5 points so it has a point total of 4 and meets the requirements to keep rolling. And then maybe at +12 it needs 5 points so if it hits accuracy again then it'd be only 4.5 points and you sell, or if it hits speed again it has 5.5 points and you keep it. Rarity doesn't need to be factored in manually because it is automatically by the points that extra roll gives. The only thing it needs added to work is a way to integrate synergy between different substats since the value of a stat varies based on what other stats are on the piece (e.g. crit rate is more valuable with ATK% than it is with HP%), and similarly which set it is. It doesn't need to be this complicated of course, just thought it might give an idea. The methodology is the easy part, it's properly understanding the value of stats that's the hard part and that takes someone with your game knowledge. Sorry this was so long, I've just spent a lot of time thinking about it lol,
I have tried this on my account (mid game) and it's a good way to sort items and keep the best ones, but at the same time I end up with a low quantity of items xD been here since you were less than 1k followers, it's really nice watching how your channel has grown since then. Hope mine gets at least the half as good as yours. Keep it going HH!
He's selling gear I'd love to have. I just hit dragon's yesterday on auto, so I'm expecting something decent eventually. I'm at the point where I sell all 4 star gear from my lower dungeons, and am slowly replacing with 5 and 6 star. miscreated monster has a 5* HP legendary banner with 3 rolls in speed and one in attack.
Great video, Now we need a lesson on what gear is best for what Champion. That is where I struggle. I have Kael, Sethallia, Skullcrusher, Mausoleum mage, Stag, Alure, Aothar Galek, Miscreated monster and Apothecary. those are my best champion. And have no clue what gear is best for each one :(
If this is helpful, I have a rule I use called the "Rule of 7". I will keep the gear if it scores 7 points (or will score 7 points) by the time I roll it up to +8. The point system is: Points based on gear set: + 3 points for Speed set + 2 points for general all round good sets (Lifesteal, Immortal, Cruel, Accuracy etc) + 1 point for situational good sets (Frost, Stalwart, Taunting etc) + 0 points for trash sets + 2 points for 6*, 1 point for 5*, 0 points otherwise + 1 point for good main stat on bottom row gear (% stats, SPD, Crit etc), -2 for flat stat main stat + 1 point for each good substat (% stats, SPD, ACC, Crit) + 1 point for each roll in a good substat Once you get rolling, you quickly get a sense of what scores 7 or could score 7. There are bonus points I give as well, like Speed main stat or substat in a Speed set gets 1 bonus point, Resistance is a good substat for Resistance set but you can adapt to your style.
Awesome, thank you. Finally a fully comprehensive video, for all stages of the game, about a subject that literally all of us wanted. Like!

Not all heroes wear capes! Tremendous help for my cluttered artifact storage. Thanks and keep these helpful vids coming!
Thank you so much. Cleared almost 300 pieces and got millions of silver. Really Appriciate it!
Needed this video pretty bad, you are the best at covering stuff like this that REALLY help out in this game. Thank you Mr. Hades!
That was beyond helpful. Finally a way to look at gear and know what to do and what you're looking for. Keep it up mate. Super helpful.

Since you mentioned for input on if anyone would like some more depth, the most helpful thing by far would be some recommendations or a list of strict criteria for items that you insta-sell if they don't meet it. Going through items and subjectively trying to decide whether it's worth keeping
For example, the suggestions to filter by flat ATK/RES, DEF/RES, HP/RES, ATK/DEF, ATK/HP, and DEF/HP was extremely helpful.
The methodology is the easy part, it's properly understanding the value of stats that's the hard part and that takes someone with your game knowledge.

i use relentless on gala and doompriest. works amazing on the right champs
Super helpful. Thank you.
it would be great to include in your next video about artifacts, more info about glyphs, how they work etc.. thanks
If this is helpful, I have a rule I use called the "Rule of 7". I will keep the gear if it scores 7 points (or will score 7 points) by the time I roll it up to +8. The point system is:
Points based on gear set:
+ 3 points for Speed set
+ 2 points for general all round good sets (Lifesteal, Immortal, Cruel, Accuracy etc)
+ 1 point for situational good sets (Frost, Stalwart, Taunting etc)
+ 0 points for trash sets
+ 2 points for 6*, 1 point for 5*, 0 points otherwise
+ 1 point for good main stat on bottom row gear (% stats, SPD, Crit etc), -2 for flat stat main stat
+ 1 point for each good substat (% stats, SPD, ACC, Crit)
+ 1 point for each roll in a good substat
Once you get rolling, you quickly get a sense of what scores 7 or could score 7. There are bonus points I give as well, like Speed main stat or substat in a Speed set gets 1 bonus point, Resistance is a good substat for Resistance set but you can adapt to your style.
This is pure gold. Thanks
Really helpful! Do you have a similar method for amulets, banners and rings???
