    i dont know how to play piano and only learnt what a microtone i a few months ago but holy shit man you are killing it!!!! the syncopated rhythms at 1:50 with all the clashes literally gave me chills. I had to pause and whip out the headphones to enjoy it better.

      i mean you actually can by using a lumatone and there are actual peformances of other microtonal etudes (like zheanna rose, she makes such beautiful microtonal pieces) and they use the lumatone

      apart from the notes from the previous answers, there is also the possibility of a composer being really bad at forms and just name everything he do as an etude or prelude
