    I get dystonia with my reactions too. I've found a few other folks who report similar symptoms. I am always searching for other folks who react this way. I think we need to raise awareness in the medical community that dystonia can be a sign of anaphylaxis or near-anaphylaxis. Thanks for sharing.

      Hello,
      I have dystonic reactions as well. Have you found other people or videos? I'm not finding much about it.

      Hi and yes I am another person who is suffering from this issue. I was always the person who wasn't affected by someone else being sick but since my health problems deterated it now affects me really badly even if they are not actually being sick but you can see that their colour of the skin has changed ready for them to be sick. So thank you for not showing it! Take care lot's of love from me kelli xxxxxx

    hey everyone! just wanted to give a quick update. I mentioned in a previous vlog that I was undergoing massive hip surgery on December 22nd. I was in the hospital for Christmas, but I'm going home today. The pain isn't fun but I am overwhelmed and so grateful for the prayers, positive vibes and nice words. This is the most supportive channel and I am so thankful for everyone here. I hope your day is manageable, and that the holiday season is treating you well. I know they can be really hard for a lot of people. so feel free to message me if you need support.
    Much love!

    The saline/IV bag shortage probably has to do with the fact that a vast majority of it is produced in Puerto Rico, which still hasn't received adequate aid. The medical industry is one of the main exports of the island, without Puerto Rico, the US will have a shortage of medical supplies.
    Merry Christmas Christina, you're amazing and watching your videos every week is one of my favorite things.

    I think it's awesome and super interesting that essential oils don't give you a mast cell reaction! It feels like they are so strong smells and that would do something, but it's nice that you get to enjoy them! I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday

    Goodness, that dystonia episode looked exhausting. I so appreciate the avoidance of sickness and gagging on your channel; I never really had the word emetophobia as a self-descriptor until recently, but I have it as well. So sorry your leg issues have you discouraged, I’m wishing you as much healing and painlessness as possible. Oh geez, I loathe magazines that include perfume samples-I agree they’re absolutely like bio warfare for a lot of different medical reasons. I adore your humor so much! You sliding down the exam table made me laugh my butt off, “I don’t think this is gonna work...” So much lol. Oh my gosh, half off the cbd balm? Yeah, I might be getting that sometime soon now since I definitely can’t afford it full price. I hope your Christmas was everything you wished for ❤️

    there's a phone app called twilight and a desktop add-on called f.lux, they dim the screen and filter out blue light between sunset and sunrise (or when you set them to turn on) and are so helpful before bed, sometimes twilight will stop working on my phone and the jump in brightness actually hurts - the definitely help with going from reading my phone to sleep.

    I loved seeing your traditions around this time, it’s so interesting to see how different people celebrate this time of year. I am going to teach myself to crochet this year that is my plan I love seeing you making things to keep warm and I want to be able to do that too and make presents for people. I totally understand your frustrations too because though we have different illnesses it is a cycle of building up muscle and stamina and then you relapse and cannot work out and then you start again...it’s annoying so I get that totally! It was me who suggested wearing the earrings each day but that is such a shame they have the earrings on one piece of card but next year you will have lots of pretty things to wear. Xxx

    Ugh my home health pharmacy is badly affected by the shortage and its been really hard trying to ration my stash of saline but I might be in serious trouble soon. I've been watching Tiffani's vlogs too, its so unfair but I know shes a fighter (and her dad is hilarious!) and even though that hospital isnt the greatest (I actually used to go there) I know she'll get the care she needs. Thank you SO MUCH for that promo code. My spoonie friend is visiting from new york and is buying it for us to try!!! I can't wait to tell you how it works!!!

PS-I’ve been watching the vlog you highlighted, Tiffani Ntanos, for the last few weeks, and when the hospital had the cops come search her room because of her CBD and took it away, it was so upsetting. I’m glad it was resolved in the end cause she’s got enough to worry about.

    I hope you had a great Christmas!!! I love the name messkateers, it's adorable. I was wondering if it would be possible if you could maybe caption points where you're wearing a vog mask and talking, primarily in public. I'm not normally an issue but when there's a lot of other ambient noise in the background it can be hard for me to hear what you're saying. If it's too much for you to do don't worry, I can normally still have a general idea of what you're saying. Love and spoons.

    I get similar mast cell reactions off and on. Sometimes they are just mast cell reactions and sometimes they are not. In some cases, it can be the first sign of a blood infection and can go unoticed for weeks before your white count goes up, fever sets in, and you feel sick. In the earliest stages, your body tries to fight it and you will notice a slight increase of reactions, but they clear up with what ever you usually use to clear up mast cell reactions. I have a primary immune deficiency on top of mast cell stuff and can be on deaths door with no fever. Anytime you have long term iv access, you are at much higher risk of nasty blood infections. Ask your doctor to order blood cultures. Cultures will show what organisms are growing and what antibiotic is best, before any signs of sepsis or shock set in. Your home health nurse can draw the blood so you don't have to go in to the lab. It's far better to get cultures and not need them, than it is to not get them and end up hospitalized very sick. I'm not trying to be the after Christmas grinch, but have been down this path more than once. I've been told by ER doctors more than once that I look fine, only to end up in the ICU days later. The doctors that manage my TPN know me well and will order cultures when requested.😊

    So I got 2 great gifts today... My etsy order arrived delivered by my cousin and you uploaded your vlog. I truly hope this sleep specialist will help you and the guys at theramu were really sweet. Oh man, I hate when smells that I have allergic reactions to sneak into my safe spaces! Hopefully it all cleared up well for you. I just picked up a work shift at a location where I don't usually work and they had a scented oil burner that I had horrible respiratory reactions to and I was stuck wearing a mask and still having reactions to for 8 hours, yuck! At least my usual work place is accommodating and they stopped using scented oil/ wax burners for me.
    And I agree that fun socks make everything better!
    Happy holidays!

    I'm definitely going to look into the Theramu Relieve Pro CBD Balm! I've been getting botox- I think January or February will be 1 year now. I do get some relief, but not nearly enough!! I'm still on Fioricet, and Sumatriptan, and I still have pain that those won't decently cut.
    I have IIH, but they yanked me off the Diamox (which was helping), when I landed in the hospital with what looked like a stroke, ecause my last lumbar puncture was high-end normal pressure.
    They just think I have conversion disorder, and since I'm on a lot of meds, they just decided I don't need it, "it was one to easily just DC". ....AND, my head hurts even worse since!

    • @SellyNue
      @SellyNue 7 лет назад

      I also have a lot of instability in my neck, my TMJ, and upper thoracic. And I know all of those, especially the 2 foremost, cause a lot of the intractable neck/head pain. I'm thinking that I may have to actually address this issue soon... ugh!

    The Nutcracker's great! I just went to see it on the 16th (California Ballet Co. in San Diego). I adore the costumes. Especially Clara and (I think they're called) the party dancers (similar gowns to Clara, but different colors. I met one who was in a lime green one).
    Do the vogmasks help with the perfume spill (?) that occurred? Almost seems like you'd need a cartirdge respirator, like for spray painting.

    So, I have been doing my best to research CBD products. Since it's such a confusing market and enmeshed in contradictory laws, it's so hard to do (on top of the lack of quality research). One thing to consider when choosing products is to be as certain as you can be of where the hemp is sourced/grown. Hemp is excellent at removing toxins and metals from soil (so much so that it is used for this purpose specifically) so if the hemp/CBD is sourced from places with poor environmental regulations, that's a big risk, IMO. I don't know where Theramu sources, so I'm not trying to correct you in any way. Just something I found and wanted to share here for anyone thinking of trying it. Thanks for opening these discussions, Cristina :) For example, Italian farmers using hemp to clean soil: www.cbsnews.com/news/cannabis-plant-soil-decontamination-italy-vincenzo-fornaro/

    I'm always excited for your vlogs! I'm so done with my pain, at the moment I'm on oxycodon to help with it, it helps but of course I'd rather not take it for long. So I'm willing to try the whole weed oil/balm industry, but I've got a question, does the company send their products over to the Netherlands? Because if they don't I'm going to pay a whole lot more than I want to, to be honest

    • @emilyh735
      @emilyh735 7 лет назад

      Theramu does, but shipping (at least to Germany) was around $40 USD when I checked, and you would still need to pay VAT/customs tax on it. I would recomend ordering from an EU based company such as www.lovecbd.org/ (UK based) or www.zamnesia.com (also EU, with more balm/salve options). There are a lot more EU based options, and even a few 'head shops' in Amsterdam that focus on CBD oil/balms and will answer questions.

    I was watching a girl (Tiffani Ntanos) she was using CBD cream and her friend got her CBD bears while she was in the hospital. She was vlogging about it. The next day the police was in there taking all her CBD products and going thru her fathers prescriptions as he was staying with her. It was so embarrassing for her. I hear they are making CBD illegal. I have no idea why. It is hemp not pot. But there you have it

  • @crimsonrose4648
    @crimsonrose4648 7 лет назад +1

    I'm sorry you had such a bad reaction to the cream. Sadly a lot of soaps and balms have fragrances in them EVEN though they label them as fragrance free on the big label, and often when you look at the ingredients really small on the back they'll list fragrance its quite frustrating. Part of this is because soap and balm companies don't actually have to list their complete ingredients list, and there really isn't any regulation of these companies going on even if they obviously should. And they also have a weird habit of hiding their allergen ingredients behind bs science jargon names. For example if the thing lists anything with a "laur", "coco", "lauryl", etc, the item has coconut and or palm. The same kind of thing happens with peanuts so yeah you have to Google it cuz there are just too many names for these things. Also if it has anything that can be shortened down to SLS has coconut/palm derivatives in it. They also like to hide dyes in their products, I seriously don't understand what they get from tricking people like this. This is why I avoid anything not from a local soap maker and am trying to learn how to make my own personal care products without dying because multiple chemical sensitivity and lye do not mix well together. Also thank you so much for not including emetic stuff I have emetaphobia so badly that it even makes it hard to even listen to the words associated with it besides stomach sick.
