Retrenchment Pruning. End weight reduction on a Sweetgum tree.

What's up my peeps! In this video we prune for end weight on a Sweetgum. There is a second Sweetgum next to it that got hit really hard by the wind. We are trying to prevent big limbs from failing so we can maintain a natural structure, there is an image at the end of the video for comparison and to visualize our preventive approach. Most of the video are voice overs mainly because of the loudness of the highway.

Do you use a silky saw?

I love silky saw's but I am using a fanno. Mainly because they are inexpensive and sharp enough for the pruning cuts needed. ( However I do own a more precise silky for ornamental's)
