  • GOLF TRUTHS and how the swing works. Today we talk side bends. The truth behind side bend is nothing new when you relate it to something external from the game of golf. Applying an external skill that WE ALL possess makes the game easier.

For a golf swing that is CONSISTENT, provides a flat left wrist, compression, lag and more. Steve's EUREKA GOLF SWING is now being implemented in 52 countries taking the golfers game to a place that allows the body to turn, the flight to straighten and compression to become a reality.
The starting place is the "iron swing series" offering the set of the Eureka Golf Swing canes and a step by step tutorial of the full action.

Steve, really like how you uncomplicate the golf swing. The feel that the elbow leads in the downswing is a valuable tip. Thanks man.

Incredible! Before this video I couldn’t wrap my brain around how to execute the side bend. This was the key to my understanding

Thank God I saved this video in my favourites from 7 months ago!! Haven't been able to play golf since end of February due to ill health and I have totally lost my ability to even strike a ball. Will be down the driving range next week with nothing to loose but everything to gain with this video to remind me of simple swing thoughts.

In two days of golf this lesson has changed my score for the better, wish i knew this thirty years ago Steve it’s so basic and makes common sense. So much confidence now,my playing partner (14) handicap,at one stage frustratingly roared what the hell is going on( I’ll leave the profanities out of it)i ended up beating him in stableford,me (25) handicap. This is the second time you have given me sound advice, thanks so much.

This video really opened things up for me, Steve. Thank you so much! I had heard about side bend before but your "Left Side Bend/Right Side Bend/Extension" gave me something to take to the golf course with me, and on the second swing there I hit a perfect iron--perfect trajectory, perfect distance-wise, perfect everything. Over the course of 18 holes I had a few contact misses but so many great shots too. (And before this I never hit great shots.) This was THE game changer for me. Wow, thank you!

Hi Steve. I subscribe to at least 30 golf RUclips channels and can honestly say that you have the most simplistic approach that is results oriented. I always come to your channel when it comes to instruction because you have such a wonderful manner to explain things in layman's terms without getting all technical with angles and 5 different positions and swing thoughts. Thank you for the God Tier content. Cheers from Canada

Two turns and a swish (as John Jacobs used to say) but as you say, incorporating two side bends to a full finish. No need for all the other paraphernalia that other instructs get bogged down in with different positions and squatting on the downswing etc, a good simple easy to understand explanation by you. 👍

Great tip. You make it look so easy. I definitely need to practice more right side bend and maybe that will stop my early extension, but afraid of hitting it fat. Thanks.

Steve, I’ve watched and followed your content for quite a while. This year I am really excited! I think I finally understand the golf swing. It only took 30 years of plying 🤣 could you do a lesson concentrating on weight shift on the backswing please. This was my problem. I recently went out of my comfort zone after watching a few of your lessons and I managed to piece together an idea of what I was not doing, and therefore what I thought I needed to do. I needed more weight on my back foot in the takeaway and top of my backswing. I could finally look down at the ball and see so much space! I’ve never seen “the slot” before 👍 it came about because of your lesson on likening the golf swing to throwing a ball. I had already been working on clearing my hips with great success and that final thought placed in to my brain and putting the two things together was the final thing needed, thank you, wonderful crazy fellow Scotsman 🥳

The best video I've seen from you. IMHO the lack of left sidebend in particular is one of the main failings of the amateur, it aids in the disassociation of the upper back and lower back and helps the shoulders 'stay back' and not unwind into an OTT delivery as you transition. When you have left sidebend and then transition your weight to the other side, you are virtually pulled into the correct right sidebend position. You don't discuss the recentering transition though, which is the other bit amateurs are poor at - just swinging into left sidebend and then right sidebend is not what a professional golfer does, the weight transfers in the lower body first.
On another point, look at where your club face is on the backswing and on the follow through, and your mention of the right wrist being bent back at impact (lovely and very 'Sandy Lyle' :-) ) It is not at all what those guys at The GEM are suggesting, which is toe up and very 80/90 Leadbetter teachings (which he doesn't teach anymore - I wonder why...). However it is also possible to use the GEM to practise the positions you are showing, as another channel on YT is doing, and it is very effective for that.

Great video. For me,the proper side-bend in the downswing makes it pretty impossible to swing over the top- get it right and alot of things just fall into place.Just need to make it repeatable.😟 Great humour at 5:40.... laughed but I could feel the hurt.

Hey Steve, love your content! You make it super easy for us. I have one question. When you swing and go into left bend, do you ever fully straighten your right leg? What should the right leg do? Stay bent?
