    You can absolutely wear this around town. It’s very warm especially if you throw a base and a fleece under it. Not the best in high wind. It otherwise comfy and warm.

    Can you explain why the proton is LESS warm than the Atom? The Proton has more insulation and it doesn’t have the side fleece vents that the Atom has. I don’t get it?

      It is less warm if you are not staying active. The 1st version of the 2019/2020 revision had highly breathable face fabric that you can actually feel the cold air seeping through even at a standstill. I believe they changed this the following year and it now not as breathable. In this regard, the Atom is warmer for non active use as it is slightly more wind resistant.

    Interesting so, if wind breaks the inner bounds the heat will escape but it will recoup after a few moments of motion.
    Heat recovery insulation?

      The proton is very warm active insulation but as soon as you get static I would throw a wind block over it as it breathes too well. Although I believe face fabric was changed from the initial 2019 launch version to another in 20/21.

    What would you reccomend as an active midlayer for around 10°C? A soft shell like the Gamma MX?

      Gamma MX is too warm even with just a base layer. At 10c I’m using the Delta LT with a long sleeve shirt.

    I live in the town that will be minus 20 ℃, so do you have any recommendations from Arc’teryx?

      Not sure what you're using it for, Therme SV?

    Jeff idk what it is but colors don’t seem accurate in your videos. Are you using a filter of some sort?

    • @abearsmind
      @abearsmind  2 года назад

      No filters used, I try to colour correct as accurately to real life as possible though.

    Which of their pieces do you wear for fall going into winter for active / street wear?

      @abearsmind  2 года назад +1

      Atom SL or Gamma MX mostly for active. Veilance pieces for the city.
