people complain if the writers take creative liberty and they complain even more if they dont. at least were getting a movie. things could have been much much worse. im personally excited for it

Just because people complain about both doesn't justify having no creativity at all. My main complaint is that it is a live action remake, not that we are getting a new movie. I may be proven wrong, but the principle is what disappoints me the most

@@StrikeyNFArts I can see where you're going, but I feel like if they were to make a whole new HTTYD movie to continue the series, it would kinda just be milking it. It got a good ending - I'd say leave it where it is rn.

@@sniclops15yeah I’d also just say leave it, maybe a show between 2 and 3 but I’m happy where it is right now

I missed the first movie in theaters, and it’s not like they’re gonna rerun it. So on one hand, yes, the live action is uncreative, but on the other hand, I’m excited to finally get a chance to watch one of my favorite childhood movies in theaters, even if it’s not exactly how I remember it

Yeah I understand that, I have a friend who's also excited to finally watch a httyd film in theaters, its just a shame it has to be this one

When you see something you love devolve into the same stuff disney does with remaking animated movies into live action with no creativity involved, it gets people upset.

@ I get what you mean, but ya gotta remember that Dreamworks is not Disney, also whats this creativity thing yall keep talking about 🤣
Like are you guys saying that they shouldnt make every scene like the animated movie?
Cuz thats kinda funny cuz these days fans are getting mad that studios dont make every scene of a live action like the original but they also get mad if they do make every shot like the scenes from the original.
But if your saying not creative as in not making original shows then I got nothing to say

@@danielmasterkingofallkings2508 From what we've seen of the trailer and the casting, they are acting just like Disney. And just in general, converting animation to live action as a whole for the same story is uncreative, whether they copy it scene for scene or not.

    • @danielmasterkingofallkings2508
      @danielmasterkingofallkings2508 6 дней назад +2

@ ahhh I see now, but I mean the cast for Astrid doesnt lookk identical but the cast for hiccup looks good, but you said they are converting animation into which action?
I dont see the problem with that, cuz if they used animitrionics it would be too expensive and it wouldnt look good, plus how else they gonna create a dragon that has cat personality 🤣

@@danielmasterkingofallkings2508Live Action is any movie with real people, Im saying animation is not worse than live action, but there’s a notion that it is and these kind of movies just convey that even though animation is infinitely better for something like HTTYD. Especially since they aren’t even making it more mature

I’m sorry dude, but cmon; live action isn’t the death of animation, considering it’s a completely separate genre. And a series can go back and forth between the two mediums and work for both - transformers was animated, then live action, then animated AGAIN. I swear, the stigma around live action adaptations is so obnoxious it hurts. If anything, they can serve a great purpose. Tell me; would you rather do a live action that takes a new direction with its story or would you rather a boring remake that only updates animation and graphics?
At the end of the day, the live action can still be good. Calling it the “death of creativity” makes it sound like live action movies/remakes CANT be creative. Someone doesn’t like real people in movies huh? The HTTYD remake can by some miracle be an improvement to the original, doing things that the original couldn’t.

@@pokerus1359 There’s a reason why live action adaptations have a bad stigma around them. Most of them are poorly done. Especially within the past decade where it’s clear these big companies just want to milk these franchises by making something easy which is recreating the same story but in live action. From what we’ve seen, it’s very similar shots and the exact same story. And 60% of the film will be CGI anyways just with an ugly realistic texture on it, so again I ask what’s the point in this? It’s obvious they just want to keep the series relevant for their new HTTYD theme park, but don’t want to put any actual effort into it. Why is it so obnoxious that people have different opinions than you? This isn’t a Live Action = Bad argument. Some of my favorite movies are live action, but turning an animated movie with the same story into live action is an excuse to release a movie with minimum effort

This is a certified overreaction. ✨
Honestly, I'm fine with the live action mainly because the director of the original trilogy Dean DeBlois is returning for it. He also worked on the recent The Wild Robot, I don't think the live action Httyd film will be as soulless as the live action Disney films considering they're being worked on by the same guy who did the originals.

This is definitely over the top, but I think its right to have concern from what we've seen. I am hoping it'll be good, but I just really don't like the concept of taking animation and turning it into live action in general
