The Hubble Space Telescope: Three Decades of Discovery

- This montage of more than 600 images from the Hubble Space Telescope celebrates the telescope’s 30 years of discovery. From our own cosmic neighborhood to the far reaches of the universe, Hubble has opened our eyes to breathtaking new views of the cosmos. The rapid sequence echoes Hubble’s fast pace of exploration. Though numerous, these images are just a glimpse of the data collected by Hubble over the past 30 years, and only a tiny sliver of our vast universe.

this video is so great that it doesn't make sense for only 15,000 views.
What an amazing place in time we live. So many discoveries made, yet so much more to understand.
Such a great moment to witness this from my toilet.
I just keep watching this over and over ....
We love you Hubble, don't ever leave us
So glad it was given the corrective lense and not abandoned to a blurry blunder.
Just imagine what these images would mean in a shamanistic society.
I know our mathematicians and scientists bring a lot of understanding to it all but I feel there is definitely a spiritual value to it as well.
Has there ever been a single machine (and I don't mean invention) that has given so much awe and so much beauty to so many people? Thank you Hubble ST, thank you NASA, thank you ESA, thank you STSI.
Many thanks to the people build these great telescopes.
Hubble is the cutest telescope ever haha thanks for all those awesome photos!
Excellent!!! Wonderful! Magic!!!
A work of art, its truly amazing how small yet big we are
Waiting for the James Webb
Me too - waiting and waiting and...
That's mean, it's like telling your 50yo partner that you are waiting for your 23yo lover. Don't listen to them, Hubble!
Waiting and paying! Hopefully it will be worth it!
@Anna Yang They are not being sacrificed, they are very old and coming to the end of their usefulness. Many of the instruments on those telescopes are no longer functioning. I don't know what makes you believe the JWST is worse than Hubble and Spitzer. Have you seen how much bigger the JWST mirror is? James Webb will be looking at different wavelengths, but with a much bigger mirror and much more modern technology, it will be significantly better.
@@SteveMHN And now with SpaceX, servicing Webb is not as costly and burdensome (provided Webb's mirror doesn't fail too)
I am speechless, how absolutely beautiful is the universe we inhabit. I think don’t we appreciate how amazing it is to be alive.
Thank you very much for this video.
so beautiful i cried.
Jaw dropping splendor

Make another one that ain't so fast I want to take aww in what is showing of pure beauty
Very nice information
Can't wait for more powerful telescopes!
I understand what you mean, but with what Hubble has given us it will be so sad to see it go.
Still liking the excitement of the 15th Anniversary video!
Can you imagine what the early astronomers would have made of such images !!!!!!!
Probably just the same... Astronomers were not smarter before.
Awesome
everyone talks about the james webb telescope but you could never see the resolution because it's infared, so give hubble some credit.
El Universo, Una Obra Maestra. El Hombre Construyó El Hubble Y Este Fantástico Telescopio Nos Ha Mostrado Las Maravillas Del Creador. Y Vio Dios Lo Que Habia Hecho Y Lo Hayo Bueno En Gran Manera.Cap.1 De Génesis.
Che meraviglia 🙂
Absolutely amazing
For a more "out of this world" experience watch at 0.25 playback speed.
WOOOOW
Wooooooow
Beautiful!
Amazing!
AWESOME!
this video defaulted to 240p. ru serious youtube?
COOL
Amazing
Previously on Hubble...
Wow
Excelente información cósmica a través de Hubble
Uau! Sublime!
Data starts @ 0:27 Try it at .25 speed ... muted if you are not a fan of P Floyd
runs to 2:15 the rest is the " wheely-bin " (cracked with love) .
Who else was waiting for the jump scare? My ass was puckered the entire video!
Huge
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
cool
Just trying to imagine we are the only ones to observe this makes me sad
Well we're not
wow
Too fast and photos not labeled. Even with labels even the best speed reader wouldn't be able to garner much info at 1/4 of a minute per photo. It's like running through a multiplex cinema that has the theater doors open and trying to make sense of the movies.
The intention was to show quantity. 30 years of photos has been around for 30 years if you want to start looking at them.
Then go into your settings and slow down the playback speed!
@@brucelamberton8819 Duh, thanks!
Wowwwwww
No aliens ?!
Little Bit faster next time.... i had to Speed Up to Double, cuz in normal Speed the pictures burn into my retina, so i can't See the true Beauty of the picture after
Goto playback speed and put it to 2x. There you problem is solved
Beautiful, tho if we maintain this pace, as in destroying earth, we will never even get to any of those other planets. How sad right? Like if you agree
!!!

Holy cow make this video again and slow it down.
Travis Morvant go into your settings and slow the playback speed!
Mane
I don't think we could find everything we have and not find a signal from an intelligent species if they existed. Also, there are arguments, but we don't see life spontaneously propagating anywhere on the ripest, most likely planet to see it on... Earth. It's starting to seem that life from hydrogen clouds 13 billion years later is a pretty improbable outcome.
