Many Indians in the USA that come from India's northern states that border Pakistan or near Pakistan or come from Kerala in the far south of India are so tall is my experience, especially with Millennials and GenZ aged people. It looks like most men that are originally from these states that I mentioned are 180 cm 5'11" or taller and the average for white men in the USA is 175 cm or 5'9" so we get the stereotype of Indians as tall when around Indians from Kerala or from their northern states. But other Americans have said that they experience a lot of short height Indians in the USA if they are from east India like Manipur along with a lot of short height people from Bangladesh, the country that borders these eastern states. Many of these East Indians look east Asian like an ethnic minority group from China or southeast Asian looking as well. A lot of varieties with Indians in not just facial features but height as well.

I make the idlis and the sambars and she makes the aloo parathas and the toor dal. Her colouring is very different from mine, but we never even thought of these things 48 years ago when we married. I graduated (well) from one of the finest engineering institutions in India, one of five set up in 1959. We never had any money because of the socialism that was de rigueur in those days, and I had a hard time finding a job and eventually moved to Illinois and lived there. But there is something about India that I cannot get out of my blood. I have been there several times and every time there is something that pulls at my heart, something that causes extreme melancholy when I return here. Yeah, I agree to some point but sometimes it might increase pressure as well, my mother also had a arranged marriage at a young age, she married to him without even knowing anything about him because she trusted her family, biggest mistake of her life..she got mentally and physically abused by him for 10 years, she wanted to be a fashion designer but because of her family's pressure to marry a man she just became a house wife, I saw her cry every single night after she got beaten up by him, and then when I turned 5..he started abusing me as well, he wouldn't even provide money for us to buy food..my mother had to sell all of her jewellery that was gifted by my grandpa after his death..I even had suicidal thoughts because of my "father"...arranged marriages can also be disasters..and now after they got divorced my mother and I have gotten serous depression and she has...changed, she dosen't smile as much, she beats me sometimes and says painful words..but I know thats not her fault, her health is not very Good either, she often tells me that if she dies tomorrow I need to take care of myself not go to that "man" Who ruined her life and my chidhood..And now she often tells me that she will find a decent man and I need to marry him after I graduate..but the problem is I like Girls but she dosen't like people like me...I am scared I am getting pressured into marring someone who I can't love and I don't have any other choice..Sometimes I really feel like ending everything but I still have hope, So one day I hope I can be with a girl I love and not get forced into marring a man I don't know..So Yeah my point is if the child refuses to marry someone, then the parents should under and shouldn't force them..It's not always gonna be a happy ending for them.

First of all Chinese,Korean and Japanese aren't similar looking themselves. They have different physical traits...... Chinese themselves have many diversity in them like Han, Uyghur, Tibetian, Manchu, Miao, Dong and many more...list goes on.. So we can safely say that our fellow Indian buddies looks like combination of western part of china..and Eastern part of India due to the geographical location and climatic conditions. They won't look like atleast Japanese and Korean people though. It's too far away,right?

To be honest, India has variety of skin color type. If you see, the northern side near kashmir, you'll see girls who have lighter skin tone and in the southern part you'll see people with darker skin tone.(weather is the reason behind this) I live in the western part of India, where you can find mixed people, both with light and dark skin tone. I myself, have a lighter skin tone (not taking pride in it cause praise whats natural) so I find that it's wrong to assume indians just to be specifically "dark-skinned" or "white-skinned" cause we have variety of skin tones
some are of Indo Aryan origin as well thus they look slightly different by face when compared to other indians. for eg. Kashmiri pandits and Kashmiri muslims
India is diverse. Its actually beyond our imagination. May be that's why 6 of theMiss world and Miss universe came from India and so do the Mr. World in 2018. Skin Colours depend on climates in India ....India is more diverse in culture as well as climate too. So Face and skin colour are different north to south. And we dnt hate black people or white. I am being very honest, the thought never even crossed my mind until i was 23 that people care about skin color. Many Indians in the USA that come from India's northern states that border Pakistan or near Pakistan or come from Kerala in the far south of India are so tall is my experience, especially with Millennials and GenZ aged people. It looks like most men that are originally from these states that I mentioned are 180 cm 5'11" or taller and the average for white men in the USA is 175 cm or 5'9" so we get the stereotype of Indians as tall when around Indians from Kerala or from their northern states. But other Americans have said that they experience a lot of short height Indians in the USA if they are from east India like Manipur along with a lot of short height people from Bangladesh, the country that borders these eastern states. Many of these East Indians look east Asian like an ethnic minority group from China or southeast Asian looking as well. A lot of varieties with Indians in not just facial features but height as well.

Yeah, I agree to some point but sometimes it might increase pressure as well, my mother also had a arranged marriage at a young age, she married to him without even knowing anything about him because she trusted her family, biggest mistake of her life..she got mentally and physically abused by him for 10 years, she wanted to be a fashion designer but because of her family's pressure to marry a man she just became a house wife, I saw her cry every single night after she got beaten up by him, and then when I turned 5..he started abusing me as well, he wouldn't even provide money for us to buy food..my mother had to sell all of her jewellery that was gifted by my grandpa after his death..I even had suicidal thoughts because of my "father"...arranged marriages can also be disasters..and now after they got divorced my mother and I have gotten serous depression and she has...changed, she dosen't smile as much, she beats me sometimes and says painful words..but I know thats not her fault, her health is not very Good either, she often tells me that if she dies tomorrow I need to take care of myself not go to that "man" Who ruined her life and my chidhood..And now she often tells me that she will find a decent man and I need to marry him after I graduate..but the problem is I like Girls but she dosen't like people like me...I am scared I am getting pressured into marring someone who I can't love and I don't have any other choice..Sometimes I really feel like ending everything but I still have hope, So one day I hope I can be with a girl I love and not get forced into marring a man I don't know..So Yeah my point is if the child refuses to marry someone, then the parents should under and shouldn't force them..It's not always gonna be a happy ending for them.

Yes but I think it’s is true, Indians have a more dark or tanned skin tone but some have a lighter skin either way still tanned. I realised many people don’t like being called dark skinned in the comments but there is nothing wrong with that because either way *most* Indians are a tiny bit or a lot darker than Americans. Don’t need to be ashamed of darker skin :)

Accept the truth and try to improve. A dark skinned person in India will be mocked atleast once in his life by his family/relatives/mates etc.
To be honest, India has variety of skin color type. If you see, the northern side near kashmir, you'll see girls who have lighter skin tone and in the southern part you'll see people with darker skin tone.(weather is the reason behind this) I live in the western part of India, where you can find mixed people, both with light and dark skin tone. I myself, have a lighter skin tone (not taking pride in it cause praise whats natural) so I find that it's wrong to assume indians just to be specifically "dark-skinned" or "white-skinned" cause we have variety of skin tones

I am being very honest, the thought never even crossed my mind until i was 23 that people care about skin color.
