Nope, you can teleport even in Survival, all you have to do is go into settings and enable cheats, you can do that in survival too

And yes, they ofc go in creative to add some things like in a vid where they are stranded on a volcano island, when the video cuts, they go into creative and fill the volcano with more lava to make it seem like it's erupting
