Broo..🥺❤ first I think it is normal that's how father behave but noo when I went out, see on social media, see in my surroundings.... And when my friends say papa ki pari Or daddy's princess... These words don't even exist for me I never feel them.... You never think about my safety you always afraid about if I go out I will come home being pregnant.... You directly don't said that but i hear you talking to mom.... You said these things for a girl who only study never went out and when she want to go out with girls you always say no.. No matter if she is in house for 2-3 yrs study hard making you proud but you always say no never trust her... Never listen her

Your lines teared me up. The video is f**king piece of what perfect art constitutes, your evocative narration, the guitar doings its magic, I loved how it sped up at the count 1 to 10. They way you opened the story and rounded it. Kafka says a book must be an axe for frozen sea within us and I think your amazing poetry did just that.

I never experienced the loyalty, generosity, and honesty of Rachel, Hannah, or Esther.
I experienced yours, whom nobody can surpass, subdue, and substitute evermore.
Nonetheless, I won't love you anymore and won't keep the stint with you.
That's because I will surrender to my fate, accept the truth, and leave the world for good.
I won't hang out with you as I have another life to lead, and of course, I'll be alone.
I won’t feel the tenderness of your hug or listen to the sound of your breath.
Never, ever will I dance with you in front of a huge crowd at a lavish party.
No romantic conversation between us will take place in person or on social media.
That’s because I have to spend time with people from another planet, getting out of your sight.

With all due respect and appreciation of your poetry. I just don't get it.
    1. How does a power cut make times desperate and hearts stone cold? I mean you were watching a web series at 2:30am. You're not some poverty stricken child trying to study under the street lamps.
    2. How does a pretty normal sounding Indian father who probably worked his ass off to make you educated suddenly become the blamed?
    3. How do so many women relate to this? Is this what we men are emotionally supporting so much? Pampering our girlfriends at 2am on their periods, while not even expecting the same support for our sleepless nights, and the economy crashing and the planet dying and our heads balding, and making enough money so that you can watch your web series at 2:30am? Let alone being beaten to death by our dads in our childhood with their leather belts.
    4. How do these women hate these traits in their dads, yet find the very same traits so attractive in other men in the dating market?
    5. Just a 100 years ago. 20 year old boys were fighting world wars. Girls were joining rebel army's. Winning double Nobel prizes and shit. They didn't even have a daddy. Cause daddy took a bullet in his chest in the battlefield. If these children had a stage, they'd take the mic and give a speech that would revolutionize the society. What happened to us? Why are we complaining about a power cut that takes a count to 10 to come back on?
    6. Why is boredom the reason for you to think about your childhood? Are there any other more meaningful instances when you think about your parents?
You see, my whole family used to beat my mom in front of me when I was a kid. And I didn't wait for a power cut to write a poem about it. I didn't complain, didn't cry, didn't run away. I just grew up and fucked them back.
Really appreciate your poetry, very well done but sorry it's hardly relatable.
    Best wishes.

With all due respect, which is none, I just don't get your comment. Don't get me wrong, but after reading your comment, all I can think is wtf?
      1) It's obviously because 'desperate times' here refer to the beginning of overthinking about the past trauma/her childhood. Or it's a possible reference to how her childhood trauma turned her stone cold.
      2) and wow, you really need to know some basic stuff. First off, a father is someone who should love you, make time for you, emotionally support you and take part in your interests and achievements. Earning to provide food, shelter or education to your child is a REQUIREMENT to be a parent and does not necessarily imply that the parent is good to their child.
      3) Dude, it sounds like you just went through a breakup lol. Pampering your gf literally has no reference here lmao. You think that all women are just supposed to behave the same way as you expect?😂. Honestly speaking, this IS relatable and just because YOU don't relate to it, doesn't make everybody else who does, wrong. You sound like you're the only one who's working his ass off. You need to grow up. It's not 1950s anymore. Women have jobs too, they too are worried about stuff and have sleepless nights. Nobody really cares about your bald head. And physical abuse is just as bad as mental abuse, so your dad beating you up is pretty much the same as him emotionally damaging you.
      4) This is not true for me personally but I believe it's because they get so used to the environment of abuse that they make it their norm (childhood really affects your adult life).
      5) wdym what happened to us? War is way way worse. People like you are the reason violence and shit is increasing. Anyways, tell me if you have something better to complain about than a power cut. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the same. I don't get why you're making the power cut such a big point. Overthinking sure takes you down that hurtful nostalgic road if you're ever alone and have nothing to distract yourself with.
      6) Boredom is not the case here. She was clearly trying to distract herself by focusing on fictional characters rather than in her real life. Which means she WAS thinking about her parents. If you do not ever overthink, then I'm sorry you can't understand what I'm saying.
And wowz dude congrats for your achievement but you see, nobody is the same as you are. You need to be a little mature to understand it, possibly after you read it a decade later. Nobody is gonna behave and react to things the same way as you do. Everyone is different. The world doesn't revolve around you. Ironic how you think you 'grew up'.
Anyways, I see that it's you PERSONAL problem if you can't relate to it. But yeah since you think everyone in the world should be like you, good luck being disappointed :)
      Have the day you deserve.

EDIT: I see that you've edited your comment so that people can't see what you actually had said earlier and so you can appear as some angel. Good job. I'm going to keep mine same tho. Cheers.
Seriously brilliant job you've done at justifying someone's powercut distraction as 'trauma', while also trying to devalue someone else's fucked up childhood as the 'need to grow up'. Are you the same person? Cause you said two different things. Like "everyone is different" and then gave a giant shopping list of your expectations and assumptions. I couldn't not admire the passive aggressive and possibly sarcastic (in your head only) tone of your words.
I was about to ask you one thing which is "name 10 things that a daughter should do for her father, and which of them did you do for yours?". But after reading your whole reply, I'm not going to anymore.
Just one advice. Please don't make children, or have pets. You'll make a really bad parent. Just spend the rest of your life blaming your hard working dad for your failures and very soon inflation will catch up with people like you.
      Best wishes.

I can understand what you trying to say, and ur wonder of how so many women relate to this is actually fair because u were never one(no offence).
See the way u said our dads worked ass off to make us educated, thats not the case everywhere, may b he never earned, may b he never paid, may b he was the reason everyone laughed at u even when u were the best student in the class...this is just a little thing i put out from ur comment, many women relate this cause each of them have been through different kind of shit because their father was not in his place to be as an actual father. may b ur whole family wouldnt have bet ur mom if ur father was different(i dont really know). but its great that u screwed them back!
