After hearing this version of DARIA, it literally became clear to me what a sad story is actually told in this song. Tears broke out after the halfway point, Which, of course, has its reasons that make me again and again, truly sad. In DARIA's version, the suffering is compassionately conveyed, as if she is screaming directly from the souls of those who suffer from this addiction. In Daria's version of 'Chandelier' you can literally hear the cry for help of those who have surrendered to addiction but are simply too alone and too weak to save themselves. Whether it's alcohol or drugs, it is not the addiction that drags people around us into the abyss and causes many to die; it is the loneliness that follows when someone has fallen and there is no one there to help them back up. As mentioned in this song, everything starts with "one time won't hurt." The next day it becomes two, the next day three, and if you have no one who simply says stop to this person, hugs him, and gives him a better feeling than this (high) kick for a moment by drinking or getting intoxicated - a real feeling that he is loved and important to his loved ones. As I said, whether alcohol or drugs, it makes no difference, both can kill a person once addiction takes hold. A small note in conclusion: if you have someone in your life whom you love but who has succumbed to addiction, hold on to them, do not give up on them. I was too young, only 12 years old, when my father succumbed to addiction after my mother's death and shot himself in the head a year later. I couldn't save him. If I had been a bit older, a bit more mature, I might have been able to prevent it. Even now, 33 years later, I still think about whether I could have saved him. Afterward, I console myself by hoping that they are united somewhere just as he said goodbye with his last words “I’m going to your mom, take care of your sister. Rest in peace, Mom and Dad❤. Thanks for your reaction Bro, I could feel it!🤘❤ Greetings from Türkiye
