@thecatalyst84 Great comment. I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 and when I think of certain NYC voices such as Large Pro, Prodigy and Nas,I could go on here, I imagined everyone speaks this way in the city. At least in Queens. Anyway great stuff.
He's old school New York... LL talks like that, too... they're both from Queens. These new guys like A$AP Rocky, they're so Southern-influenced, that they don't have that old school New York accent anymore.

"Breakin Atoms" is one of the most influential albums in the entire history of Hip-Hop. Large Professor is underappreciated, I always wonder how Hip-Hop would have sounded if Paul C had lived and Main Source had stayed together.

@@daltonhanleyjr4142 Weirdo, age has nothing to do with mentorship. Professor was in the rap scene before Premo did. Learn how to research before you say stupid stuff.
@@ALexander-ue3kj NO!!! Large Professor was NOT in the music scene before Dj Premier. Gangstarr had released NYC hit records like Be a champion, The Lesson, Bust a move, Words I manifest and Deep Concentration , that was in heavy rotation in the NYC radio and video market 1987-1990. Large Professor was a 16 year old high school kid still learning music production under producer Paul C at the time Gangstarr was playing EVERY weekend on Dj Red Alert's radio show. Large Professor didn't make his first single with Main Source until Sept/Oct 1989. I don't have to learn or research anything. I grew up with, lived with, and worked around NYC hip-hop for decades. So save your insults for someone else. Clearly you know nothing about this. I'm willing to wager you are under 40 and not from NYC.
@ALexander-ue3kj Do you realize Dj Premier produced almost 40 songs and 2 albums by the time Large Professor came out with his first album with Main Source in 1991? Smdh. Your immaturity and young age are revealing itself. Follow your own advice "LEARN HOW TO RESEARCH"!!!
If Drink Champs don't get Ra,then Math needs to Holla. But to be fair, Ra is not an easy person to get a hold of, and he's very particular on who he interacts and does interviews with.

Extra P, Rakim and Prodigy have the most NY accents ever.
The way Large Pro talks is so extremely New York that it almost sounds like when non-New Yorkers make fun of how New Yorkers talk. Lol.

Extra P is one of my favorite producers. Glad I got meet him last year!
I met Large Pro twice. Each time was a pleasure. As we know, that cannot always be said when meeting one’s heroes.

I don’t care what nobody says large pro is a top ten producer in hip hop. Him, Pete and eric sermon don’t get the love they deserve.
Facts
Large pro is a legend and on top of that he’s the Epitome of what you would call a real New Yorker. He embodies the term solid…
Bobby Brown brought Eric B and Rakim out on the New Edition tour in Philly he said he was proud of them for getting that bag from UNI records 💰💰💰💰

How did he mentor Dj Premier? Premier is several years older than Paul and was producing and releasing records 3 years before him too.
