Thanks million for posting this interview, i have the honer of having met Madam Noor Jehan in person at her residence in 1977, it had been my unforgettable moments. Indeed, Madam Noor Jehan was a great lady, what a dynamic and loving personality. Also I am lucky, knowing Kafee sahib in person. Madam Noor Jehan's comments about Kafee are most befitting and appropriate. It is only Kafee sahib's attribute and ability to interview such a great personality like madam Noor Jehan with such an ease and comfort. Noor Jehan is a miracle and will never be repeated. She is a genius. Besides being the best singer of all times, she was able to compose poetry of a high quality. May be her genes will produce some body like her in a few generations.

What a woman of substance! MALIKA E TARANNUM MADAM NOOR JEHAN. When she merely utters words it becomes melodious music. The chime of her voice echoes in ears even today when she is far away in her heavenly abode. I really regret for one thing most whenever I happen to offer fateha on her grave that it is not built the way it should have been to match the grace and honour she had had. Pity we don't tribute our artists in a due manner.
Its so emotional to listen to Mallika-e-Tarranum ,her voice ,her songs still fresh in our memory . just to think she is no more ,makes you sad . Her praise of Lata ji and references to others in India ,shows how large hearted she was . Her songs still echo in our hearts . Mere bachpan ke saathi mujhe bhool na jana. remains my favourite till today with scores of others.
What I love seeing this interview was she was what she wanted to be. She said whatever she wanted to say. She did whatever she wanted to do. Truly, lived a life on her own terms. She sang patriotic songs for Pakistan army yet she was so full of love for everyone she knew across the border.
