I personally like the army comp, gives a nice overview. No need to explain all details, tho, most of us will be pretty familiar with TW and most units. And for the impatient ones, you can put a link to the battle's start. The intro was nice. Do what you feel is best for you, isn't a big deal anyway. Good job as always.
I liked that intro. We don't need to see the same units over and over again. A detailed army comp only makes sense when there are new units we didn't see yet
I showered. Now, I'm ready for a good battle and I've got my popcorn with me. LIFE IS GUD. Keep up the great work apollo! By the way, the intro was great. you should do that more often :D
I like when you tell the army composition, but diving straight into combat is a good decision. And it works. I guess you can reach a middle ground telling part of the army composition in the slow motion mode while the battle is beginning.
Pixel the reason I personally like army comps is because it gets to showcase units for faction that I don't personally play very much man. You army comps make me play different factions cause I'm like holy balls that unit looks sick! Please do them my man
at 25:34 you say : The infantery here actually getting fairely lucky considering how many volley of shot and how many shot they have taken there. At this moment: 4 magnificient shot from France x)
You should keep the old army-comps run through for scenarios and more tactical battles. Good time for explaining the scenario and rules too. But I guess for ones like this where the players are a bit nooby, knowing the army comps isn't important.
Who can take a sunrise Sprinkle it in dew Cover it in chocolate and a miracle or two?The candyman The candyman can The candyman can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good#pixie
1:58 You could put "skip to battle" button for them. 4:13 My strategy would be hard on weak unit because almost everybody don`t want to guard the wall for long. This was the defeat for the defenders from the start.
When it comes to taking walls, a lot of it depends on context. An elite unit guarding a wall, backed up by solid ranged units ready to offer flanking fire is a lot different than a wall manned solely by cheap infantry with no meaningful support. In the former, I'd use my cheap troops as fodder to tire out the elites and use up ammo. In the latter, breaking them with elite units quickly seems the wiser option. No tactic is applicable 100% of the time.
Army compositions are fine. Choosing your units is a vitally important part of any Total War game. Army composition matters almost as much as battlefield tactics.
I kinda think Foot Knights is a more appropriate name seeing as how they are using two handed great weapons so they wouldn't be mounted, though it would be hilarious watching them try to use them mounted. Oh and i'm not sure if it's the case for this particular game but in other Total Wars Fighting on the walls is either a last resort or not worth the men you lose doing it.
They should have held the walls longer, those archer towers are deadly. Also they should have waited till the very end to put the general into the battle, if he dies your fugged.
Hey! Apollo, Long time watcher And Supporter and more importantly a Total War Fiend. You should try the 1295 mod, adds in all new skins and textures for cities medieval style.. You want that authentic experience? 1295 plus they have an early access campaign.
*Hey guys! Welcome to another medieval kingdoms siege battle! If you lived during the medieval era what NON-Military profession would you have?*
Pixelated Apollo I'd be a doctor
A lord
Leather worker
Was there a such thing as a horse racer back then? Thats what i would be!🐎
Pixelated Apollo A youtuber that names is pixelated apollo 😂😂👍
A battle a day keeps the Heretics away.

I kind of like longer army comps so you can see who is killing who
The burgundian general... or bulgarian...no...the brocarian general yeah that must be it! :D

Just Fio my exact thoughts, solves everything!
I liked that intro. We don't need to see the same units over and over again. A detailed army comp only makes sense when there are new units we didn't see yet
If i was half as cool as Pixelated Apollo, I would be the second coolest person in the world! :D
Really heroic and epic battle!
Apollo: "My favorite faction is the French, and you know why? Because they have the SCOTS! DUH?"
i love your videos man, they are good as always !
ok
I'm a huge fan of showing the unit cards during the "army comps" phase of your videos. As long as that's there keep it as brief as you like!
best channel ever, like if you agree
R u the guy who donates a lot in twitch???
yeah lol
I like how apollo uses history to his vids ... pretty cool man
I like the intro. Short and sweet and to the point, but also puts up the army comps with a picture. No one is hurt.
Let me guess was it an imperial plague doctor that made that quote?
Hey bro the new intro is good, but I gotta say seeing the armies in really cinematic shots is one of my fav parts. Awesome job as always my dude :)
This is a good way to do the intro. We see what army comps look like without having to zoom in on each unit for an extra 10 minutes of video.
I really liked the intro. Short sweet and to the point. Your intros don't need to be long just what you did here works fine. Lovin' the vids!
A battle a day keeps the heretics away,
But if you fight eleven, you might soon find yourself in heaven.
I showered. Now, I'm ready for a good battle and I've got my popcorn with me. LIFE IS GUD.
Keep up the great work apollo! By the way, the intro was great. you should do that more often :D
That was a good way to do the intro, I prefer going straight to the battle but I think that was definitely the best compromise.
Love all of your vids Pixie.
That thumbnail is so awesome!
As always, thumbnail game on point boii
I like when you tell the army composition, but diving straight into combat is a good decision. And it works. I guess you can reach a middle ground telling part of the army composition in the slow motion mode while the battle is beginning.
Solid iambic pentameter at the start there bud xD
Pixel the reason I personally like army comps is because it gets to showcase units for faction that I don't personally play very much man. You army comps make me play different factions cause I'm like holy balls that unit looks sick! Please do them my man
I must confess im between the ones who prefer the detailed army composition intro. But you are awesome either way
at 25:34 you say : The infantery here actually getting fairely lucky considering how many volley of shot and how many shot they have taken there. At this moment: 4 magnificient shot from France x)
That Intro was nice
Hey apollo i love your videos ive been with your channel for the longest keep it up bud.
Im a simple man; Pixie uploads, I click, I pause, I like, I enjoy.
Nice intro btw

Damn i love this Battle ^^ You really have a talent to do those Total War Vids :)
I like this format. You see the armies and know what is going on, but it ,doesn't drag out.
Who can take a sunrise
Sprinkle it in dew
Cover it in chocolate
and a miracle or two?The candyman
The candyman can
The candyman can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good#pixie
Damn the army comps were awesome. Your graphics are the main reason I watch.....
*love the medieval battles dude*
I like the way you read the comps keep it like this pixie
SUCH an epic battle, props to the players, and to you to make it even epicer with the camera angles and the commentary love u as always and forever
Thanks man (France)!
Yes the medieval kingdoms gameplay is back
finally able to watch for more justice
, just came back from work without a day for rest
1:58 You could put "skip to battle" button for them. 4:13 My strategy would be hard on weak unit because almost everybody don`t want to guard the wall for long. This was the defeat for the defenders from the start.
at 3:57 that man at arms animation on the bottom left was awesome!
Hey Apollo your videos made me get in to history thank you your videos are awesome!
Love the candy man analogy, speaking of which, seige battles are my milk chocolate
Ave Apollo! I, personally, do like this intro style better. Thanks for the vid!
"One battle a day keeps the heretics away" The Emperor himself couldn't say it better brother!!!
For an intro you could do you standard greating, and have the army comps just listed on the screen
3:56 blue shield guy is a beast
The start was really nice!
Pixelated Apollo you are the BEST total war youtouber ..........pls seven kingdoms
heeeeeyyy another siege battle
man you are best youtuber!!!!!
Didnt even have post notifications on i was just in the mood for some apollo and my timing was excellent
Eyy that was me :D Thanks Pixie!
(Im Kingdom of Norway BadassKirby) :D
Hi mate!
Put "A battle a day keeps the heretics away." On a freakin t-shirt with that plague doctor pic!!! I would pay good money for that.
I like this new way you intro battles better
Yey a siege battle and it has my country in it!!! Bulgaria! Love you Pixie
Defenders never win because the attackers use crossbows aggressively :P
Do the army comps and do like a time stamp or something with the time at which the battle starts
At 3:56 near the bottom there’s a french knight going to town in a defending soldier lol
The music at 10:45. Perfect.

Intros just get better and better

Oh! this poor soul catches on fire and then Disappears!

17:49 Most beautiful part of the battle. Like if you agree!
"Its the Aladdin Empire" lol
Defenders lost in first 5 mins all after that was a technical execution.
Nice video. Keep up the great work!

Love the channel Apollo.
1:57 awesome screen shot

The first guy caught on fire and fell down the tower
This mod is so fun to watch
didnt like army coms at first but then was expecting it now wanting to see the units
Army compositions are fine. Choosing your units is a vitally important part of any Total War game. Army composition matters almost as much as battlefield tactics.
I like going straight to battle like if agree
Superb battle, keep that General outa there!!
Best way to do a intro because you show us all neway
Need more siege battles must have more!
I love this vid. You need to do more skaven!
Pixie Poo-Are you going to upload any more Napoleon III?? Really enjoy those
I like this kind of intro !
The dude with the crow face is one of the dudes from assassin's Creed.. but cool vid
Wow man if i could only play with you. Would be so cool.
I don't understand why you don't have 1,000,000+ subs
The battle was lost when the norwegian player did not bring at least half his stack as archers.
Yay another siege
Light a candle..... FOR EACH SOILDER THAT RUSHED INTO CERTAIN DEATH!!
I kinda think Foot Knights is a more appropriate name seeing as how they are using two handed great weapons so they wouldn't be mounted, though it would be hilarious watching them try to use them mounted. Oh and i'm not sure if it's the case for this particular game but in other Total Wars Fighting on the walls is either a last resort or not worth the men you lose doing it.
got an exam tomorrow but .... ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER BATTLE!!
PURGE THE HERETICS
FOR THE EMPEROR
At last, Thank you Apollo!!!
They should have held the walls longer, those archer towers are deadly. Also they should have waited till the very end to put the general into the battle, if he dies your fugged.
The defenders didn’t really think this through lol

love the intro pixelated apollo
