- Camera's are not able to capture the true LCD output that I see live so I had to darken some scene's to get acceptable video.

What a pro , 2 Double zero in the keystone, friend across the pond Lake Erie Pa, 200 Joe, well done
Nice Klondike Mike! I have aHR 2510 also with the wheat orange bulb in it. I had replaced it 3 years ago. I have some strip Leds that are 12v and for a project I may have to do this upgrade as I have vision issues and the Orange is not working for me anymore! Thanks for the video....
WOW, are they still making the 2500 series ? or exports? I think my first 2510 was in 81.
Production has long since stopped. Because the performance of these (and many other) vintage radios is superior to what is being produced today, doing some upgrades here and there is worth it.
I have a friend in Fla that sent me an old Tram D42, he wanted it modified and tuned-up. It looked like new but I told him to leave it alone, I would aline it for its peek but he can buy a mush better radio for less with more power and freqs.
How well does the dimmer function still work with the LEDs? Ever thought of using orange LEDs.
The dimmer actual works and lessens the display output. Depending on your Chinese supplier, your mileage may vary. I wanted only a white light to provide the best contrast. Someone mentioned on TM1 that a colored film could be placed in front of the strip, which is a pretty good idea.
Which leds is it? I have a strip of 5630.
Not going to finish the TRC 457 frequency counter mod?
This got a sudden priority boost. I have another HR2510 that will get attention and then I can get back to the 457 (the cover wasn't even put back on and its sits just off to the side).
@@KlondikeMike Cool. By that time maybe I will have found a good one at a good price. :)
Hello friend, I have a President Lincoln Mk1, that when turning it on for the first time it takes some time to show the frequency of work, I explain myself better, the screen turns on but it does not show me the numerals, and after 5 minutes they appear, but that happens only when the radio has several days off, I imagine it can be some capacitor, you could help me to repair this fault. Greetings from Venezuela
I agree with an electrolytic capacitor type of fault. There are 3 of them on the display board. That's where I would start. Stay safe in Venezuela.
