great video, altought sound and video were offset by at least 1 minute, don't know if only on my side!!! Also, do you have a tutorial on how to setup 2 fixed wan ip on the same router and redirect different type of outound traffic and route the to separate ip, IE = private traffic go out to Wan-IP-A and public traffic go out to Wan-IP-B (Wifi Separation admin/public)
You are gerat! Can you pleas, make video how to make load balancing (backup link) with 2 WANs, one with static IP and one with Dynamic IP from PPPoE connection?

First of all I appreciate our tutorials, am growing inlove with mikrotik through this tutorialds Is it possible to do bonding 2 wan interface in CRS326-24G-2s+RM?
I am using an RB951G running v6.41 and I do not see anything in the interfaces where allows me to select master port. Its just blank after the ARP TImeout? Also do you have a video starting from the beginning to get to where you are now?
This video is misleading. That would never work when using WAN facing interfaces in real lifr. All he did is a port bonding not wan loadbalancing. Usually connectivity to isp is l3 with multiple ips not l2.
Correct! He is using the term "load balancing" to refer to IntrAnet environment rather than Internet environment (ISP load balancing). This video should have got a more specific title. However, this video is very useful to me and I thank the author for his effort, and for this piece of technical info that I haven't known before.
Hi tried this tutorial but i have some issues,, after doing this configuration i have an intermittent connection.. I tried to disable WAN1 interface leaving the WAN2 interface enable and it works but if both interfaces are enabled the internet becomes intermittent . I notice that it does not automatically do its job. Any body who tried this tutorial enlighten please..
hi Tksja.. with this Tutorial 30.. is this also a failover? if WAN1 or WAN2 dies.. will all the internet traffic route goes to the one that is left working?
I have been following your excellent tutorials and am now stuck. I tried to follow as best as I can this video number 30 on Bonding but on RouterOS 6.49.2 the windows are different. I thought I had set it up correctly and I appear to get a balanced load on the 2 WAN interfaces but my computer now cannot connect to the internet and is not getting an IP address from the pool. Could this be due to the fact that on a RB4011 I am using the SFP+ with DAC to Computer running an IBM dual Fibre interface. Using ethernet 1 and 6 tbonded o connect to my Modem/Router.
I have been setting up dual wan with policy based routing many times via ethernet. However, when I try this via wireless the second wireless station interface seems to find no network while I have confirmed it is ready and available. Is there a limitation for connecting to multiple APs?
hello may i ask whay would happen if i have 2 speed set on the 2 isp that i have ? and the higher one fail? can i manage my limit within the firewall ?
Hi! Many thanks for the video. However executing the steps it seems there is a big problem with the IP addresses. When asking Bonding to get the IP address using the DHCP client it will get it by which interface ? Ether1 or Ether2 ? Because if it gets it from Ether1 and later you disconnect Ether1 and you expect it to work from Ether2 right ? Well in reality the DHCP client needs to release and renew in order to work. How to solve this problem ? Need to change configuration on which devices ? Do you have a hint ?
I have two internet companies and am trying to set things up so I never lose connectivity... I think I need to start at the very beginning... I own the mikrotik rb2011UiAS-2HnD-IN. One of the companies is faster but less stable than the other. I'm watching this because I think this might be what I want to do, but see I don't even know where to plug what into where. I have two wireless routers/modems here now and when we lose one connection we manually connect to the other one and this is not great when my husband is teaching online as he has to do now. I also own the araknis AN-310-RT-4L2W if that is better... I got both planning to return one. I too would like my ping and jitter to be more stable.
You ran the test w/UDP. Almost all internet traffic is TCP, and TCP is connection-oriented... whereas UDP is not. What results do you get if you use TCP, and also select an IP that is not the router... some IP that is outside the network of both providers?
I understand your point, because udp doesn't have the overheads as tcp it shows that the maximum speed that you can get from the bonded connection. To my knowledge this speed test can only be used with Mikrotik devices.
hakan genc You won’t need DHCP client if you have static and also PPPoE- enduser clients however on their APs when they dial the PPPoe skipping DHCP client as the network will give one IP upon PPPoE client activation. DHCP server will give IPs to the users on the end user side
So you're saying if I add 2/100Mbps connections to my HAP lite I should be about to get both speed but would that be on both wifi and lan or only wifi since the lan is only a 100Mbps?
Sir can you give me a link of your tutorial about combining 2 isp in one like 500mbps+500mbps. The output will be on PPPoE. I'm currently using Rb4011. Thanks
