Cleaning easy??? Looks good. I’ve been wanted and espresso machine without the high price … what do u recommend as a starter machine.. must have’s 1. Bean grinder 2. Heating stick for milk 3. Easy clean or self clean Thank you 🙏
Thank you for answering me. I have a breville coffee maker and like it but requires soo much cleaning .decanting, taking apart to clean machine all the time .. I hate it and it dispenses warm not hot coffee . I’d like automatic and auto clean if such a thing 🙏🙏
I had this machine for 7 months with a Best Buy warranty. I loved it at first for the reasons you described. After about 6 months, I started getting a gross aftertaste. I cleaned it regularly and experimented with different beans, cups, etc. No luck. I took it back to Best Buy and got something else. The problem hasn’t come back, so I think it was the machine. Edit: This could have just been a one-off issue. My dad has the same machine and hasn't reported the same issue.
looks like the SMEG SA with some cosmetic differences. I'm looking for my first espresso machine, would this be your recommendation? The options out there can be paralyzing.
Go ahead and take out the water tank and put it back in a few times also power cycle the machine a few times that should fix the issue. After that it probably won’t give you errors anymore
Does your steam feature make a slight thumping noise when steaming? My first machine did this and I sent in a video. They said it was not normal and sent me a replacement. My replacement machine makes the same noise.
Just got this machine. I’m having difficulty controlling the output volume. I’m getting brews that would overflow my cup if I didn’t manually turn off the brew process.
Have you been able to remove the steam wand? Steam wand is supposed to be removable for cleaning. I have been unable to figure out how to do it, it says you rotate it to disengage then pull down, but it doesn’t rotate.
What company actually makes this machine? It is the same basic design as a model from GE, and SMEG. There must be a factory selling the internals, and these other brands redesign the exterior slightly.
well yeah i think thats a good point just something I wanted people to make not of. not a huge con more of a slight negative for those that may have tall cups is all
@@user-ml3ux9em5c when you say weak are you saying it’s not bitter and intense enough. If so make sure your grinding at the finest setting also make sure you have it set to have the highest dose on the machine and also set it to the lowest liquid output. That will give you a much much stronger shot you may have to do a double shot to get the desired amount of espresso in the cup but it’s worth it for what you are looking for. Also remember this is a superautomatic espresso machine which uses a pressurized filter basket so the intensity and flavor won’t really ever match what you get out of a semi automatic machine that uses a non pressurized filter basket. I know that’s confusing but I have a pretty good video explaining it if you want that.
A video would be great, are those settings on the app? I love how smooth and creamy it is, just want it a little stronger. I did set the grinder to the finest. Thanks for all your help!
@@user-ml3ux9em5c yes settings are on the app. The app is not my favorite but it definitely adds some convenience. Be careful though cause the more shiney oily the bean the more likely your grinder will clog
Hey Joe, now that Black Friday has cooled down, do you still have a positive opinion about this unit? I just ordered one of these after nearly buying a refurbished Gaggia Magenta Plus. The Magenta was almost the one because of the traditional, powerful steam wand, and the display was reminiscent of very high-end superautomatics. However, after seeing the results, I agree the output was not worth the cost. You probably know this, but all Gaggia super automatics pretty much have the same internals (this includes Phillips who makes them), so the upgrades or whatever are drink options (all have the same max level strength / dosage) , the milk system, or the exterior build quality (plastic vs. thin plastic-like metal). Anyways, this is for my girlfriend, and far and wide the design of this is much more aesthetic. Smeg sells the same thing for 2x the price and another company called Espressione. They are all the same though, built by GE, though my friend at GE says that essentially means overseas these days. I'm going to see how this goes, a little concerned with how finicky the setup was for you and @coolcameron505's comments about taste.
Hard to say. It could have just been me. My dad also has this machine and hasn't reported the same problem after a year. I don't think he uses his as much as I did. I also purchased mine for ~$630, so the price right now is fantastic.
@@JoeyVaracalli Does it seem possible to increase the extraction time on this machine to be closer to that 25 second mark, or is it always going to come out around 10-15 seconds tops?
@@GameKeyModSquad-hr4ln yeah that’s how all super automatic’s work. They generally don’t tell you this but it’s true trust me. The only one I have seen that isn’t is everysys but it’s like 20k or the spinn but that’s even worse lol

very interesting. im wondering if it has to do with the rinse cycle never going through the brew section and only rinsing through the steam wand

How does this compare to a original Nespresso machine, as far as shot of an espresso?
This is definitely better in terms of an espresso shot
Where you really able to get this machine (with the steamer) for less than $300? The best price I am seeing it for is $425. Thanks for your advice.

If you’re looking for a super automatic then yes this a great first option. If you’re looking for a semi automatic then I’d go barista express.

9.2 rate for a 250 USD, what would be for current price (AMZ) for 429 USD?
Can’t turn off power without pulling plug. Am I missing something?
Is there a way to rinse only on the copper nozzle. I feel like the rinse cycle is too short, it could use an extra rinse once and a while!
Can you do a video on good coffee beans to buy at Tjmaxx, Marshalls, or homegoods ? I always go in but never know which is best to buy 😢
If you find whole bean Lavazza that’s the one to get from tjmaxx.
