In the book, Gale unconsciously pushed Katniss away because he was becoming more of a "warfreak" and vengeful of the Capitol. Katniss was more careful because she cared more for Peeta's safety. I think Mockingjay Part 1 captured the essence of that character shift perfectly.

I agree that he isn't much of a character in the movies, but I don't think it supports the love triangle. I think there was more of a triangle in the books, because you could understand him more even when he spoke or behaved harshly. In the movies there's just no reason to see him with Katniss. The actors Jennifer and Liam also don't have much of chemistry, not even much of a friendship vibe like you feel with the actor who plays Finnick. I think Liam may not be that great in this role. I don't know, maybe they're just writing it badly.

And if I had to choose one person to help me take down the Capital, it would have to be Dracula (also known as Luke Evans). The Dracula Untold version. He is fast and kills quickly and he does not need to have any weapons to kill. And if not him, I would choose Van Helsing (The Hugh Jackmen version). He knows how to kill when he needs to, plus he has awesome weapons and a smart friar to help figure out things when he can't. lol. And of course, Josh and Jen are like in their own little world together, no matter where they go. I can't wait to see the movie.
