The point you made about hitting skillshots being about reading human movement is spot on. If you wanna see a lot of this just play a lot of ARAMs. People all have tendencies to move too much or in certain ways. A big one is they move back and forth a lot for no reason meaning a lot of the time if you aim things where they aren't they'll walk into it. It's like jumping in a shooter to attempt to make yourself harder to hit when in reality if you jump people know exactly where your head is going to end up.
ye arams are also really good practice for movement and skillshot prediction. if you get good at aram you will generally be good at any champ, you will get the feel for how they play and you will knkw how go play out teamfights as different cjamps and in turn also know how all enemy champs want to play out teamfights, aram is by far the most underrated gamemode in league. before playing aram i was an otp and didn't know how to play anything otner than bruisers and after playing all kinds of champs in hundreds of arams i csn now blind any champ in the game and perform at least decently in emerald which isnt a huge accomplishment but is leagues better than before where i coudlnt play even the simplest champs even in silver even tho i was low diamond because i was an otp
also what he said about smurfs looking like scripters is really true. im a bard main and when i would play with my gold and plat friends i would rarely have gsmes with more than 1 or 2 deaths because i would literally hit every single q furing the entire gsme because enemy doesnt know how to dodge and i wouldnt get hit by any skillshots because enemy is used to other people not knowing how to ddoge either. playing champs like ezreal, or xerath or even stuff like bard really feels op the lower you go because you hit exponentially more skillshots and you get damsged way less

Agreed. Mage supports are better with the kills. It's not too bad on engage supps either. It's practically like your mid or top laner getting a kill. It makes a big difference because power spikes are usually 1st item, 2nd item, and deathcap. ADC power spikes are more like 3 items, 4 items, full build.
early support gold is 100% more useful if it’s a mage than giving it to ADC. support champs hit their powerspikes at 1-2 items since they are more gold efficient typically, which will lead to ezreal having a much easier time csing. this is why it’s not impressive when a mage support has most damage in the game bc most of that is from laning phase ex: brand/zyra liandrys powerspike or lux/xerath ludens
I think at this level if you get gold early, even as a support, especially a DMG support, you just know it's game over. There are far fewer kills in master + games, so take what you can and give your enemies hell. ADC would be a better choice to get the kill, but you know it's soloq and you just can't trust anyone 100%.
I've been watching for years but now this is disappointing. You should see that that Xerath is 100% scripting, and to give these guys a platform, is just, I hope innocent, rather than to gain views. Please go to 1:50 put it down to 0.5 or 0.25 speed and watch mouse clicks in parallel to Xerath champion movements. I haven't played league for a few years now due to studies, but last time in checked, champions don't face an entirely different direction unless you click that exact direction.

Because the dmg supports goal is to make enemy carries as useless as they are this is more so the case for champs like shaco, xerath, brand, champs like lux i would argue the kills are better on the ad at a high level. Except when they are fed and enemy is behind its insanely strong because your carries can scale up, while enemy carry is dow. In levels and gold, and uve got a nuking xerath making them even more useless. Twitch support is a prime example of this. A fed ezreal isnt going to take over a game like a fed xerath/twitch support. Im insanely good at ezreal mechanically, but im also really good at xerath sup just not as good as my ezreal. And i can take xerath 800lp higher than ezreal. Xerath sup just has way more agency.

Gettin Mage Support to 1Item quick is def Stronger cuz of the CS gold diff , if they can Hit 1 item around the same item they can just Make them Suffer trough Poke , but that doesnt count for all combos in bot imo
With supps getting so much gold early and falling off late its def more beneficial for the lane to give early kills to them. it sucks when you realize playing adc atm is just a game of dont give the enemy gold and let your team carry you XD

On top of the value of early completion of a single ap item, in this particular case Xerath was out of mana and getting the kill allowed for the extended dive play. Regardless of gold, the extended dive was only possible with Xerath having mana for two rotations. @midbeast

I think giving a damage sup the gold which boosts them from 2k to 3k in laning phase is more beneficial then giving it to the adc who gets boosted from 3k to 4k gold, especially when its mages with long range as they make laning way harder for the enemy botlane than most adcs with a bit more gold.

@SN-xv1tp its not just the mage supps either. im a bard main and getting first blood gets me insta t2 boots and sometimes even a dark seal straight out of base. t2 boots just make bard harder to hit with spells and thry make you tankier which just makes you so much stronger than the enemy supl and adc. when you get ahead on bard you can harrass enemy bot way more to the point where in elos below diamond you will be able yo outtrafe them even if your ad refuses to trade
