Reading an actual physical ook would be a dream come true for me. I loved reading when I was a child. After so many years being visually impaired I would feel like a super hero if I could see stuff at a distance:) And oh, how many arguments did I have about colours and shades...
Saw the link you posted in the Stargardt’s support group on Facebook, just watched the video and was like:
TOENAILS 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 YEEEESSS!!!
OK, so I’m NOT the only one!
Ooo, and the KINDLE was like a godsend, because reading is life. 🤓
But yeah, I miss being able to just stroll into Barnes and Noble or the library and pick up read a regular print book.
So relatable.
OMG EEK, okay now I don't feel so bad mentioning my toenails on the internet! They deserve to have TLC! And Audible and Apple Podcast are my life now! But yes, I miss the special touch of nice hardcover book!
You should get the BARD APP, it’s free, because audible can get kind of expensive, you just have to apply for it, but it’s an iPhone app, you just have your eye doctor fill out a form for you and you submit it and they give you a passcode, but it’s through the library of Congress, so it has pretty much every book you can imagine.
I actually prefer it to audible, because the way audible narrates the books, the fake accents, the background music, it gets really annoying.
Unapologetically Monkey omg thank you so much! I’m going to look into that!
Hey! I’m so glad you liked our video and it inspired you to make your own!
This was one heck of a video.
Normally I would not be replying to someone talking about cutting or wanting to see their toenails. LOL however! One of my biggest problems since becoming visually impaired is cutting my nails I hate nails and always have mine trimmed short but since I became visually impaired I hurt myself pretty much every single time one of those things that just cannot get right. I can shave my beard like a boss but once it gets to the clippings I get to the drippings of blood that is. Hahaha
I have always been a visual person so I do not remember names unless I see the faces. Now that I'm visually impaired can no longer see faces or expressions it drives me crazy cuz I cannot remember who people are.
And when it comes to job development skills and teaching I am all too familiar with this. I was blessed enough to do community service for free to get some scholarships for college and my job was to teach job development skills to the 4th grade one school year. it was a ton of fun in all the kids that I got to teach all passed the final test. It was a success something I will never forget.
Great video and even though you've taken a little break I will always be a subscriber. You are well worth the wait. Have a great week
LOL YES! It's so tricky and one of those small things we take for granted. I'm glad we could converse over our toe nails 😂
Literally was just talking to my mom about how hard it is to do my toenails!! I have to be completely bent over and squint at my foot reeeallly close to my face 😂
YES! I swear it has allowed me to be more flexible too! 😂
Yes! THANK YOU! You guys did such an amazing job together!
