I don't know that this is meant as some big allegory to the music industry. I've literally done this. Gotten a song idea, worked on it for days, and then realized it was already a song.
The other major problem is that the longer people write music, the harder it is to write something original. Sure, it will always technically be possible, but it honestly seems like we might be headed towards some kind of musical singularity, where everything that can possibly sound good has already been written.
I feel you on the remembering lyrics but you can't remember the song title unless you're lucky enough to hear a radio station announce it. 😉👍 Thank you for sharing this reaction video! 😊
